This is an incredibly useful tool, especially the offline access mode. I'd love to eventually be able to carry over characters between devices, but in the meantime, thank you so much for this tool - a few of my group have decided to use it.

Unfortunately the devices synchronization of characters is the most difficult part. Because it requires too much (server side, authorization and all that). Maybe someday.

Really good, thanks for sharing! :)

Glad to hear!

I'd want to filter results so that it only includes level 0 to 3, excludes spells with a range of personal, and excludes casting times of 1 minute or more. I'd probably also want to filter by searching for the 'harmless' or 'none' keyword in the saving throw description.

Thanks for idea. Maybe I should make all filters with multiple choice. It will do the trick.

Previously my goal was to make something my players found handy. And now I look for new changes. But I prioritize things strictly because I don't have much time to develop.

Edit - nevermind, I see there's a filter to show spells from all classes! Awesome!

Glad you liked it. All spells a also necessary for cleric domain spells etc.I recommend to add spells that likely will be used to favorites. So you player wouldn't be overwhelmed with such a big list of all spells.

I like that there are some animations present.

Useful filters would also include Range and Target.

Also a way to exclude results based on filters.

Thanks, I'll add them shortly!

And do you mean something like "all spells without touch range" by "exclude"?

Very handy, thank you! I usually use the PathfinderSpellbook app on my phone, but this is a nice alternative.

Thanks! I was using PathfinderSpellbook too. But it was missing some spells that we were using. Don't know if it does now.

Also I thought it will be handy to look up spell in the same place where you track prepared and cast ones.

here you go

Sure there is a lot of resources with pathfinder spells. But mine mainly target users with phones. For me it will be hell to track spells in such a vast table. (my group used google sheets for spells, but smaller ones without much info).

I'd love to see more filters on spells. The only other option to sort spells I know of is several years out of date.

Filters like spell descriptor? What will be most useful?

I do not know how many of the people who viewed the topic decided to try my site. But just in case I publish an update.

During this time I have improved it.

Interactive spellbook (scrollbear.com/spellbook/characters) turned out pretty good. Now there is even a history of cast spells availible.

It is also possible to select only the desired source books (only Core for example) reducing the total number of spells.

Thanks for the ideas so far. It came to my mind that maybe a pack of dogs (either 2 or 3 when there are 2 PC) could fill the role?

Maybe you can use dogs (or other reasonable animal) with animal companion rules. Then Handle Animal almost not needed. And the animals will grow with level.

Not very useful if some of your players have class with animal companion. Turns out somehow redundant.

Thanks!

I've done some things for the past few weeks. I think that the main section with spells is completed (except filters. I'll booksource filter next).

Now I'm mostly working on the part with daily spells for the characters:
scrollbear.com/spellbook/characters
Still no spells with metamagic or different level possible. But it's coming. And my players already using character section as it is.

Hello,

I'm building Pathfinder 1e spell reference site. Mainly for mobile use.

scrollbear.com

I'm DMing for a few years for my friends. And during that time I tried to find all sorts of methods that would reduce the time to check the rules and other staff. On games I constantly use online references, such as Archives of Nethys or d20pfsrd. But I dm games with a laptop, so for me it's more comfortable than for my players.

All of my players are using paper characters sheets. And the biggest problem with that was to manage spell slots and spell descriptions. And the above-mentioned reference sites are not the most convenient for mobile navigation. In the end, I decided to make my own website that would help with this. Something where you can quickly choose or find the right spell.

Site

The site itself I tried to make equally convenient for desktop or mobile. Also, this site works in offline, which can sometimes be useful.
I didn't do any login or authorization so all selected options are saved on the device like in native apps. Maybe someday I will add something to synchronize data from different devices.

Spell Reference

For now you can add spells into favorite, search by name, class or school of magic. In the future, I plan to add more filters (and perhaps the choice of source books, so you can choose only core book for example).

Spellbook

My players and I used to use google sheets to track prepared spells and spellbooks. Now I transferred the same mechanics to my site. But some things are missing. No special slots, like domain, or selected schools of magic. And there is no possibility to prepare spells with metamagic.
But currently it's still enough for our games and when I find the time I will try to add other functionality.

I really like to play Pathfinder. Especially because there are so many options, variety and depth. But because of all this, it is very difficult to manage different elements of the rules.

So, I make this site for myself and my players. But maybe it will be useful to other players.
