There was a Dungeon adventure several years ago (before d20 i.e. 2nd edition AD&D) in which the party was hired to explore underwater using special underwater equipment akin to deep sea diving suits. I think it was for low level parties (3rd level?). I can not find my old copy of the issue. Can anyone tell me, which Dungeon issue this was? Also, can someone send me details on the underwater equipment (how long pc's can breathe underwater, AC of suits, movement in suits, penalties in movement, etc.)? Othwerwise, I guess I will make something up. But I specifically remember the equipment from that adventure and thought it would fit perfectly.
In an upcoming d&d home game, I would like to have my 3rd to 4th level party explore underwater. The equipment from that issue is ideal, since the party does not have access to water breathing spells, scrolls, or potions yet. Also, if anyone knows of a good source for more underwater equipment, please let me know. I looked through many of the complete books, including Complete Adventurer, Stormwrack, and Arms and Equipment Guide, and the best I could find was a few weapons (underwater crossbow, harpoon, etc.) and a swimmer's kit (goggles, fins, breathing tube).
Thanks.
