some of the players in my game are about to have access to flight in various ways (spell, mount etc), and while i have some basic concept of how it works, i have realized in all my time of playing pathfinder, and DnD 3.5 before that i have never actually found and read any rules on how specifically flight and maneuverability works. either i have somehow missed them in my readings of the books or they are stashed somewhere i haven't looked. can anyone tell me where specifically (book and pages) i can find these rules?

i am about to start gming a game over skype using the group video chat, which ive never tried before. i was wondering if anyone had done anything like this before and had some suggestions as to how i could relay the map to my players during combat so they could see whats going on? any other tips or suggestions from people who have done this before would also be welcomed.

if a character has a natural attack like claws or bite (eg. sorcerer dragon disciple) and they cast and store a touch attack charge, do they have to use a touch attack to use it? or can they use the touch spell on a normal attack with the claw or bite or other natural attack as it is still technically touching?

check out the link i just posted it should explain alot. ive tried to design it such that most of the calculations can be done between sessions by the players (so as not to take up hours of game night). and many weeks they may not have to do anything. however it allows for them to make decisions and have to make choices, which can affect everything from how the business grows (simply the amount of money they make), to weather a union approaches them or the police come after them or any other response to anything else they think of. it isnt a mini-game so much but it is a new dynamic that is another way they can affect their story based off what they do.

cur8r the file is located at the following link. sheet 1 is the info cards to record all the data, page 2 is the key to help understand what everything means and give details on how things work.

for everyone else. my game is a sandbox game where the party makes the story, they asked for this. it inst about just giving them another adventure or two and calling it a business, they wanted something to mix things up and give them an intermission from the adventure every once and a while. and this way, whatever happens isn't based on an idea i had but ones they had, allowing me to better incorporate it and any consequences from it into the story, they make a decision about something and then see what comes of it. so everyone who suggests it should just be made a role or an adventure (or shouldn't happen at all) thank you for your opinions, but they are not something that will fit into my game, sorry.

does anyone know the prices of walls for various sized cities (as per the dm's guide) or a means of estimating their cost?

thanks everyone. i ended up combining some of the ideas from landon and ashiel and wrote up a spreadsheet for it. if anyone finds they need this info in the future let me know and ill gladly share.

thanks. ive played a kingmaker game and sadly that system is a bit too complicated and involved for what im looking for. that feedback mechanic is exactly what im looking for without it slowing down the game too much like kingmaker. ill look into the other items.
i should also add that i am looking for information anyone might have in the pathfinder system on prices for things like large quantities of wood and stone. the town they have was damaged by fire and they are looking to rebuild, but i have no idea where to start as to what the differences in material costs might be, relatively how expensive is stone to wood etc?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I am running a campaign where my party has recently come across control of a town and have also decided to start their own brick making business. There is a high chance that more like this will continue in the future. I want the party to be active in the running of both the town and business (they are not connected except through the party). Has anyone had to do this and have a system developed? or any insights or suggestions as to how best I might do this?
