Do we have to worry about eating and daily life stuff or is it kinda like video game never rest sleep nothing your always energized?

I've almost got all my character developed still some minor crunching tonight should have it done before the night is up.

I was thinking for my back story wanting to be more into herbal medicines and artificer that's why I am a alchemist.

On getting gear how much do we have to play with since people are talking magic items and what not how do we judge?
