About Zond Ebonblade

Zond was born in Absolam to Vanessa Kaestrov, a minor Brevoyan Noblewoman that moved there due to her connections to the Rogarvia's. She met a man and hoped to start a family only to have her oldest Zond taken from her shortly after he was born. The man, Maltho, raised him in Cheliax to be a worshiper of Asmodeus, but Zond rebelled and at an early age escaped as a stowaway. He eventually found his way home to discover his mother had died of remorse leaving only his aunts, uncles, and cousins behind as inheritors. Not wishing to take their wealth from them, Zond traveled to his mothers native country to take up the sword and retake his birthright.

Indepth
The man unfortunately wielded a bit of influence and was able to hold him there with his "brothers" and forced to learn wizardry to broaden his "father's" power base in the country. He managed to escape when he was 10 years old, returned to his mother's family, and has since devoted his life to fighting evil. He's a follower of Sarenae. His name "Ebonblade" has happened because he carries a tarnished silver dueling sword around with him.

Head of the house of Kaestrov located in the country of Brevoy near the city of Restov. Rightful Lord and Baron of the lands north and west of that city, Zond travels the countryside seeking fame and fortune to reclaim his family’s status.

When he arrived in Brevoy it was to a luke warm reception. As consolation he was offered a chance to tame the greenbelt in the Stolen Lands. He's a follower of Sarenrae and has enemies in Brevoy and Cheliax(his brothers and father)

Zond Starts the Game as a Sorceror(1st level) but is pursuing the course of a Fighter(Swordlord Archetype) from then on.

Appearance
Zond is a tall, over 6', with shoulder length ragged blond hair he keeps that way to hide the evil tattoos he has upon his head and back of the neck. He has a well-muscled physique and although it is not grotesquely muscled he has the appearance of a strong young man. He has a long straight nose and fair skin that suggests his Chelish background may be in error, and has a slight accent when speaking common. Zond has a scar on his left forearm that is a reminder of the time his brothers tried to feed him to an alligator.

Personality
Zond is rather hardened by his experience as a child but still manages to be lighthearted most of the time. When he is under pressure or in a dangerous situation however, he will become deadly quiet and find the most efficient way to attain his goal. He detests slavery, a holdover from his youth, and will always attempt to assist slaves, sometimes at his own expense. He is also carrying a great deal of guilt with him and feels unworthy.
