I played one 2E game before the 3E launch the next week, when we all bought a PHB and the rest is history. I haven't had the inclination to try and find out why it was never attack bonus in the first place.

I assume you mean my favourite store based on any qualifiers I choose. In that case it's a toss up between the Silver Snail in Toronto, which is just the largest and most soundly organized one that I've been to..

And a mom and pop card store which I totally forget the name of in a small town called Orillia, Ontario.. for the memories of Magic tournaments and small D&D games we used to play from time to time.

Looks good so far, you should know that in the pathfinder game you get 1 skill rank per level, and a +3 misc. bonus if you put a rank into a class skill. Roleplaying the rest is fine but I would like a spell list and feat list before we proceed if it's not too much.

Good background for Grunhild. The horn shall be masterwork, a gift from his family or an heirloom he managed to get hold of in his travels.

Let's increase the use of Jylan's ring to twice daily.

Well we're playing in a homebrew setting... it's very barebones right now, generic fantasy setting - the others have drawn up a bit of backstory including their own hometowns. You're free to play whatever you like if you get me a sheet and possibly some background.

Seems like most things are in order so far

Jylan's initiative score isn't calculated on the sheet to +7 as it should be, nor are his skills done properly it would seem - you get 2+int mod (1) + 1 (human) and possibly 1 more (favoured class) skill point/level and you didn't add the +3 bonus for the ones you have being class skills. Also your bonus to hit with the longsword should be +5 due to weapon focus. The history is nice though and it will net you a family signet ring, with the symbol scratched out, which acts as a ring of protection+1 for one encounter per day - just tell me when you want to activate it.

Reinala seems pretty complete as far as I can see. I will allow her to have a guild seal which is enchanted to appear as a simple piece of jewellery to any aside from those others who wear them. It will grant feather falling a number of rounds per day equal to your rogue level.

Nevil needs to choose a Greyhawk god unfortunately, which limits choices due to alignment. Also your sheet seems to calculate stats based on a +1 modifier to constitution (hp/fort save) as opposed to the +2 that you have.

Grunhild looks well put together, let me know if there is a history forthcoming.

Loren seems to still need to be retooled to my setup

Viper I can only allow the next completed characters, as there are already five potential players. I have been neglecting my duties as a DM and updating, so I may have to allow a sixth..

I take it that when you say the 'Big Book' you mean Pathfinder, or are you refering to standard 3.5?

Yes I mean the Pathfinder book. I love how it's a giant heavy beast. It's the only book we'll be using for the purposes of everything but monsters.. .Which you need not be concerned about *evil grin*

I shall review the submitted characters when I wake.

Uhhh I may be supremely dense, but in which chapter would I find traits?

Also I am fine with adding one extra player as a wildcard.. As soon as I have five complete characters (first post, first served) we shall lock in and start the game.

That works perfectly. Now if you can get some characters made we will be off and rolling. Use whichever format you like for the actual sheet so long as it includes all the necessary info.

Now all we need is a... :P

Sounds good guys.. I'm at work and away from my books. Usually I rule that we get 'standard' gear/two or three weapons based on your class and 5 gp extra to start out with. If we're cool with that and no one goes crazy on 'standard' it shall stand or I will set a starting amount by the time I get home later.

Greetings!

Since I'm new here and new to play by post, I will make this as painless as possible.

I'm looking to run a game with four players in a mostly cliche but ultimately awesome campaign I'm brewing in my head. I would like four 'classic' characters (AKA boring and cliche) to stomp some dungeons and kill some goblins and other baddies.

Requirements:

Level 1
Use this array, arranged as desired for Abilities: 16, 15, 14, 12, 11, 10
Core content from the Big Book only
Good or neutral aligned
There will be no use of Prestige Classes. Only base classes are allowed, but multiclassing is okay within those bounds.
A strong focus on party cohesion and spirited teamwork - A bit of strife and argument is expected but please don't start out at each other's throats... I would like if you work together to create a bit of a PARTY backstory but this isn't necessarily a requirement.

These guidelines are a bit strict I admit, but adherence to them is rewarded...And if you don't like my style of game, there's no need for you to join.

The setting is a homebrew using Greyhawk gods as they are pretty familiar. We shall be starting out in the major trade city of this new setting, known as the Mirror City, so I encourage a bit of creativity in your character's background. Make up a home town, home region or even just barely outline whatever you like. The more you give me to work with, the more I'll involve in the game.

Any questions or concerns let me know.
