About Zhu

Biography
Zhu has been both blessed and cursed with his abilities. He has not been taking it very well.

Zhu comes from a long line of distinguished Oracles in Tian Xia, but during his coming of age Zhu secretely hoped the ability would overpass him. Unfortunately, divine magic runs thick in his blood.

When Zhu told of a future a very powerful noble did not want to hear, he was forced to flee Tian Xia and relocated to Sandpoint, where he now makes a living as a fortune-teller. Every night he attempts to wash away his visions with alcohol. It is there he met Ameiko and every night he tells her stories of her homeland in exchange for one last pint.

Personality
Zhu is used to his "gift" bringing him trouble so he tends to try and use it as little as possible. It has been reduced to petty fortune telling and defending Zhu in the occasional bar brawl. His curse usually acts up now days when he is drunk and many nights end with Zhu yelling in the language of the angels at a bar stool before passing out.

Despite Zhu being bitter and sarcastic, many patrons at the Rusty Dragon, including the owner, have for some reason taken a shine to him; a fact that many people as well as Zhu cannot fathom.

Secretly, Zhu appreciates this last bastion of friendship and would do any favor asked of him after complaining about it extensively.

Appearance
Zhu is a stocky 5'7 Tien man with a shaved head and a black goatee with dark brown eyes. He wears normal clothes of various shades of brown and a dark blue fortune-teller's cloak (all Varisian-style).

The only piece of Tien clothing that Zhu wears is a blue scarf embroidered with a silver Imperial Dragon.

Steel Scarf (Su): As a swift action, you can harden a scarf, sleeve, cloak, or other piece of your clothing into something as hard as steel that stretches out to be up to 30 feet long. You can then strike outward with it as if it were a weapon making a melee attack. For the purpose of this ability, you are proficient with this weapon. You can use the weapon to perform combat maneuvers. Make a melee attack roll against a creature within 30 feet; you may use Weapon Finesse with this attack. If you hit, the weapon deals 1d8 points of slashing damage + 1 point for every two oracle levels you possess. After this attack, the clothing returns to its normal length and hardness. You do not threaten an area with this weapon and cannot use it to make attacks of opportunity. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Skill at Arms (Ex): You gain proficiency in all martial weapons and heavy armor.

Oracle Curse Abilities
Tongues (Celestial): Whenever you are in combat, you can only speak and understand the selected language. This does not interfere with spellcasting, but it does apply to spells that are language dependent. You gain the selected language as a bonus language.
