As for the AIs, Zero is in Ratchet's backpack/arms. Ace is in Ratchet's Warsuit.

Ace can't control the entire suit because it's not actually a Gizmo. Ace can control the gizmos attached to the suit, which are the wheels, and the hookshot attachment. It means the suit can't do much without Ratchet in it, but it can move, and it can use one weapon.

As the glowing dust settled a small mechanical arm snaked out of Ratchet's pack and fired a volley of crackling shards into the fray.

If Ratchet can detect the enemy, Zero fires the Needler on Ratchet's mechanical arm. It's an auto-hit attack, similar to Magic Missile

Needler Volley: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 1) + 2 = 6 If Needler damages target, automatically apply Weapon Amplifier
Amplifier, electrical damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6 Plus DC 17 Fort save or Fall Prone due to electro-convulsions
