Zerekias stops in his tracks and turns around, "Because I'm here to rid these lands of the enemy of my people. Which so happen to be the same beasts that you want to rid yourself of. I would not even be here, nor would I care to, if it were not for that very reason. And as I've said, I take orders from none except from those of my people. And as I've also said, if you have an idea that I find sound, then I shall follow. Otherwise, I do as I see best." With that, Zerekias takes his leave, unconcerned with whatever else she may have to say.

Zerekias moves up to the woman, staring her dead in the eye with his typical scowled look, "I do not need your money. I do this for my people, not for you." Then turning his attention to Muqaq and Sati, "And I do not take orders from none, other than those of my people. If you have an idea that I deem is sound, then I shall follow. If not, then I shall not. And that goes for all." He then turns and looks back to Almah, "On the morrow then," he responds, giving a slight nod as he takes his leave.
M Half-elf Ranger 1
Standing towards the back, Zerekias looks to her through narrowed eyes, not quite sure what to make of her offer. 200g? I do not understand the point of the gold offer. I came here to rid these lands of gnolls. I would do this for nothing. Thinking of it no more, Zerekias doesn't object.

DM Stormwind wrote: When you come close enough to speak he gives another low whistle, this one of amazement, "Wow! Would you look at those legs! And what's all that crap you guys are carrying?" He raises his eyes suggestively at Sati indicating she is the true target of his comment. "Boss-lady wanted to be woken if you guys were back before dawn. Her guards should have her up, so you should head right over to her tent." Zerekias follows the man's eyes toward Sati. Realizing what he's speaking of, he turns his attention back toward the guard, his eyes narrowed, and an even greater scowl upon his face. He moves up to the guard until he gets practically in his face. He stares him dead in the eye for several moments as if studying him; like a cheetah stalking its prey. A fool, nothing more. Beneficial for him. We shall see. He then immediately turns and heads toward Almah's tent without saying a word.

Zerekias observes the scout and his work on the scorpion. "The stinger." He nods towards it. "You can harvest the poison. But it will spoil within a day if not harvested properly." If anyone is interested in the poison, it's gonna take an alchemy check. Muqaq al-Varisi wrote: Muqaq smiles as the creature explodes. High five self! He thinks, before moving over the rest of the way to the others. "Is everyone gonna be okay?" he asks worriedly. Zerekias turns and looks to the sorcerer curiously, wondering if that was a real question as the majority of his own blood is coated upon his chest, along with a trickle of blood from his nose which he unconsciously wipes with his sleeve. Not really caring one way or another if it was or not though, he responds, "Yeah," and turns to the task at hand of investigating the scorpion's lair. "I agree with the gunman," Zerekias confesses, then continues, "He has done so little." He states as a matter of fact as he then turns his attention to the gunslinger. "You've earned the right to take lead." He tells him as he waits with the flat of his blade resting on his shoulder.

As Zerekias is freed of the vermin's claw, he lets go of his rage and quickly turns his attention toward the creature. His breathing labored, he rises and sets himself into a defensive stance. Can I stand from prone and then go total defence? Not to sure what I can do but no matter what it is, I'm gettin' swung at. :( AC 14(or 18 if I can go total defence)

Love the escape summary. :) Not even bothering to dust himself off, "Alright. Grab the goat and let's move," he says as he makes his way back out through the cactus patch. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
BOOM! Of course, a part of me is a bit sick at the fact I rolled a 19 and a 20 to make it through cacti of all things. Where were those rolls during the pugwampi battle, hmmmm? :P

Seif has rope! Yay! He likes Zere... Oh wait... crap. :) Being Zerekias, he must try. It's not stupidity, it's pride. (Or maybe just stupidity) *Shrugs* :) To stubborn to ask for aid, Zerekias immediately heads to the earthen wall and attempts to climb it. Climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Lol! Seeing the creature fall, Zerekias moves up to it and bends at the knees and takes a look at it's lifeless being. "I beg to differ." Zerekias nocks another arrow and fires. Longbow w/DA: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Unable to hit once again, Zerekias scowls. "Nerede durduğunu öleceksin bilin, hata!" He promises the pugwampi. Gnoll: "Know that you will die where you stand, bug!"
M Half-elf Ranger 1
As Zerekias lands on the cactus after having killed the goat, he grunts in pain. "Stupid goat," he remarks, unconcerned with several more spines embedded within him. Hearing the pugwampi speak gnoll, Zerekias's eyes narrow as he draws his bow and fires at the critter. Draw bow(Move); Attack(Standard) Longbow w/DA: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

He then resumes his movement toward the goat's cries. Elven: "I do not stand by and take care. I'm going after these creatures. And if it's a trap, then so be it. You can either be there to respond when I set it off or not. Makes no difference to me."

DM Stormwind wrote: "A pugw... Never heard of such a creature. If you think it is a strong possibility, then by all means explore it. I wish to have this issue settled, and I would like some sort of evidence attached to the conclusion. Take all the companions who arrived with you; we are in Gnoll territory after all. If you encounter any gnoll scouts, you are to take any and all necessary actions to prevent them from reporting our presence back to their clan, understood? If you fail to find this creature, report back - be out no later than dawn tomorrow." At the mention of Gnoll territory, Zerekias's eyes narrow slightly, yet his expression remains as stoic as ever. Understood and accepted. He thinks to himself as he takes his leave and goes to retrieve his gear. After gathering all his gear, he heads over toward the scout. "Dashki, we're going Pugwampi hunting... and possibly gnoll." He says with a grim determination.

Is anyone willing to help in this endeavour? Zerekias interests is piqued when Sati mentions the scout being leery of the Pugwampi's. Pugwampi's. Wonder if they have any connection with the gnolls. Muqaq al-Varisi wrote: "Certainly, that's also what I suggested. I will speak with Almah and see if she'll allow it. Care to join me Sati? My offer of payment is rescinded Zerekias." Muqaq responds. Gin Dharak wrote: Taken off balance from Zerekias's seemingly pessimistic view, Gin resonds with sharpness and with optimism, "So follow the more dominant track. I stick by what I said, goats don't cover their tracks. If you are suggesting that someone or something covered its tracks, would it not be logical to assume that they took advantage of the fire and stole the goat? And yes to me tracks don't mean anything. However, forgive me for being so bold but, I though someone with your, or perhaps Dashki's, skill would only need near nothing; after all, near nothing is something isn't it?" Zerekias keeps a stoic visage about him. I'm talking to a wall, he thinks to himself. Turning his attention back to Gin, he responds with a small bit of irritation in his voice. "I got a better question: Why is it so important we find this goat? What does that have to do with the fire? Or anything, for that matter? Nothing, that's what. Especially considering the scout's right. I think the fool burned himself up also. Lit candles within a wagon? It's just a matter of time. But, whatever. Waste your time on a fool's errand looking for some goat; makes no difference to me."

Muqaq al-Varisi wrote: "Did the scout not mention some form of evil rat like creature that brings bad luck? Perhaps someone skilled in the ways of tracking could look around camp for tracks or spoor." Muqaq suggests after everyone shares their findings. "If that also comes up with no evidence, then I would say this was simply a case of an accident. They do occasionally occur..." he says dryly with a smirk. Zerekias remains silent with his thoughts, peering into the distance, as the group talks of the current issue. When Muqaq mentions looking for tracks, "It's been done. There's nothing." He answers, keeping his eyes focused out into the distance.

Zerekias's jaw muscles tighten at the question as he looks right through the man, seeming to be lost in thought for a moment. Waking from his reverie, "Let's just say I have a debt to settle for my people. A debt that I will only claim paid when each and every one of them manage to lay dead at my feet." He keeps his voice steady, yet the anger within it is obvious. Working on calming himself down, "And if I 'smell' of civilization, it is because I've been with this lot too long." He nods his head sideways in the general direction of the others. "If you are in need of another when searching out these foul creatures next, I will aid you." With that, Zerekias takes his leave.

Zerekias takes his leave of the others and goes to speak with the scout while the others investigate other avenues. Getting near the man yet keeping a moderate distance so as not to appear threatening, he looks at the man with a steel gaze. "Just to be clear, I think the fool burned himself up too. But to be honest... I don't care. What I am curious about is what you can tell me about the gnolls. Is where we're going a large concentration of them? Possibly several tribes? And how do you keep your scent from being detected by those with hyenas? You smell like unwashed human. That's asking for death. I would gather you hide your scent with some form of dung when you scout for them? Animal hides?" He asks with a look that lacks any expression.
M Half-elf Ranger 1
Noticing a few members of the group heading toward the scout, Zerekias finds himself curious of the man. He heads that way himself, keeping himself at a minimal distance when he approaches yet not too far out of earshot. As he gets closer, Zerekias sniffs and the odor hits his nostrils. Showing no reaction, "Scent too strong. Be his death." He mumbles to himself as he waits for the others to ask their questions.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 Zerekias manages to catch a glimpse of the odd behavior of Tarin. Narrowing his eyes and observing the Inquisitor for a moment, he lets the matter drop just as quickly and stores it within his memory. Xanyon wrote:

Zerekias takes in the man's concerns and notices the others creating water. Turning back to the man, Zerekias nods and walks away. As order is eventually restored and Garavel arrives with Almah, Zerekias listens to her speak with his arms crossed. Once she's done with her instructions, he uncrosses his arms and heads toward where the wagon initially was and begins searching the area for any sign of a clue to the fire. Take 20 on Perception for +28. Will take 20 on Survival also to search for tracks for +28. I know, that one's a long shot.

As the others speak, Zerekias keeps himself focused on the task at hand. Marginally tall for a half-elf and deceptively built for one as thin as he; he appears to wear a constant scowl upon his face which seems to complement his chiseled facial features. An assortment of weapons at his disposal and lightly armored so as to keep cool as much as possible, he every so often pulls out his waterskin from his pack and takes a swift drink, being sure not to take too much so as to preserve. Xanyon wrote: "We'll see what we'll see I suppose. I've never seen a gnoll before, what can any of you tell me of them? If the town wants them cleared we should learn of them." Zerekias's demeanor remains stone cold with the question, appearing as if he'd never even heard it. As he pulls out his waterskin for another sip, "I have," he mumbles to himself as the memories of previous battles and lost brethren continue to replay in his mind. As the others go to speak to Garavel, Zerekias doesn't care to follow.
