I thought your patron was Auril, the Frostmaiden? Or is she your goddess, and your patron is a winter fey?

Either way, I think Rizzen's above suggestion about my vanquishing an aspect of your patron could still apply to a winter hag, regardless of who or what your patron actually is.

Of course, this was just my suggestion to keep with the whole theme of being a witch/hag hunter.

Also, Rizzen, is the discord still active? If so, can I get an invite?

I do kinda like the idea of being childhood friends with Aiwin. I think it makes the whole situation even more tragic and complicated.

My main concern is he's originally from Calimport(a city that has a history of genies mucking with things as well as plenty of elemental-plane touched races), which is far away from anywhere even remotely cold. In fact, the same is true for our current starting location of Turmish.

Now, this isn't an actual problem, we just need to figure out how/where Aiwin met her Winter patron emissary, and then figure out how to involve Zashier.

My initial idea for Zashier is that he spent most of his time hunting the members of the Twisted Rune, dealing with rogue 'mages' from Amn, Calimshan, and Halruaa, and generally 'adventuring' in and around the Lands of Intrigue.

If we wanna keep with the theme of my being a witch hunter and having a long history of hunting and defeating hags, perhaps Aiwin's Winter patron emissary could be a Winter Hag?

This post assumes we're fighting as a group(or at least Aleranna, Aiwin, and I).

Since we're fighting one foe, standard action, cast Tactical Acumen to give us some positional bonuses.

Swift action, activating Judgement, choosing Destruction(+4 sacred bonus to damage) and either Justice(+3 sacred bonus to attack rolls) or Immolation(if my religion check reveals any fire resistance). Move action to get within melee range.

Hallo! Finally finished my character. I apologize for taking so long, but it was well under zero degrees Fahrenheit this past weekend. I spent the majority of it under my blanket binge watching Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia(great show btw).

A few things:

Sadly, there are no Ifrit avatar pictures, so for right now, I'm using this dragon until I can hopefully find a better one.

Regarding posting rates: I work retail, so my schedule can shift, but I almost always work nights. I'm EST and I'm generally home by about 9. Should be good to make a post most of the time, but if I don't, I'm probably a bit too wiped from work.

Also, uuuhhh, I hope ya'll have some fire resistance. I have a necklace of fireballs(and will hopefully get a wand of them at some point too, but needed my starting money elsewhere), and I'm not afraid to 'fireball the room' as not only do I have fire resist 10, but I also have evasion, lol

Lastly, I have only chosen 2 of my 4 third level spells known, and 1 of my two fourth, in case ya'll have any preferences/suggestions on what I should take.

*Edit*: I just realized that both the Winter Witch and Paladin have names that start with A, while I chose one that starts with Z. Kinda amusing.

Yeap, each +2 bonus to Int from a Headband grants your HD in ranks to a single skill. Usually a knowledge/spellcraft, but I think it can actually be any skill, even non Int based ones.

Also, I forgot that normal hags aren't outsiders, so Nature makes way more sense. I already have Arcana, Planes, and Religion.

Finally, I have almost all of my spells chosen. I left a few 3rd level and one 4th level known slot open to see if my fellow PCs have any preferences.

Aside from picking languages(and some minor tweaks), my sheet is all finished.


Just wondering if we'll be encountering enough hags in game to make having ranks in Lore on them worthwhile.


Updated Zashier with the majority of his magic items. At least the main ones.

Also, I took Lore: Twisted Rune(secretive undead organization that operates in the Lands of Intrigue), but I'm also considering Lore: Hags as my Int skill from my headband.

Thoughts on that Rizzen?


Gonna re-use an old alias(at least for right now), but unfortunately, there's no Ifrit avatar pictures. Gonna keep this one as a placeholder, until I can hopefully find a better one.

Languages, spellcasting, and magic items will be finalized tomorrow, but I have enough done to begin play(if necessary) and showoff the main gist of the build/concept.

As the two travelers lacked horses, they didn't need the stables, but as they walked into the inn, Zash tilts his head slightly to try and overhear the conversation the two men were holding.

Zash unleashes a draconic roar, blasting his feeling foe with deafening energy. Sound Burst for 1d8 ⇒ 4 sonic damage, and he needs to make a Fort save DC 18 for be stunned for 1 round.

Zash curses as the arrow strikes him, but it's not a serious wound so it doesn't really affect him.

He fires a trio of magical bolts of force in retaliation Magic Missile for 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3, 1) + 3 = 10

As the hunter gets close, the sorcerer boldly steps forward "Greetings friend, my companion and I have gotten a bit turned around. Could you possibly direct us to the nearest town?" 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (10) + 21 = 31 Diplomacy, also readying an action to cast Charm Person should this south.

As the hunters scatter, Zash motions to Tael to quietly move forward, towards the town. He once more uses his magic to mimic a dragon's roar, this time having it originate forty feet from their current position.

Not sure which direction would be most beneficial, so I'll leave that up to you to decide.

As soon as he's able to see who is chasing the poor man, Zash casts a minor spell, in an attempt to scare them off. A mighty draconic snarl rips through the woods.

Casting Ghost Sound, they get a Will save, DC 17 to disbelieve

"Let's be cautious, if they're a hunting party, we don't want to rile them up."

"Seems like a sort of unholy symbol." The sorcerer says, also pocketing the carving, in case he needed it for later.

"Let's make our way to Noanar's Hold."

He then casts a spell to enhance his senses, and begins to scour the site of the 'battle'. Casting Acute Senses to gain +10 to Perception, then taking 20, for a total of 43.
