I know I'm the one that started this whole thing, but I'm going to have to withdraw. I'm going to be far too busy in the near future and I don't want to commit to any new games. Thanks for the interest everyone, and good luck with the campaign.

Likewise, I should step back, I just got into another campaign and am about at my limit right now. Thanks for the offer DM Choppy.

When you start a campaign, there is a Gameplay/IC(In character) tab and a Discussion/OOC(Out Of Character) thread. There will also be tabs for info, recruitment, players and some other stuff. I have never really started one, but if you ask almost any other DM, I am sure they can explain. Probably some of the other players can as well.

Is there an OOC and/or IC thread for this game yet? I keep looking here and do not want to forget the one. As soon as the IC thread is up, then I can dot it and it will show up under my campaigns tab and make following the game much easier.

Male Tiefling - Oni Spawn Fighter/2

bah - I am not having fun, and when I get my hands on you all, you are dead me . . .BOOM!!!! Suddenly you see a ball of fire erupt from Carina's hand and Zarnak is turned into ashes.

I have no problem with a chat, but it will have to be later in the evening USA central time - after 8pm because of work and children.

Errrr - two clerics good to heal Zarnak when he forget armor and charge into fight nekkid.

Here is Zarnak, modified to level 2.

DM Choppy:

Level 2 Tiefling Fighter - used the alternate heritage with an oni background. Also, if you look at his previous rolls when I was applying for another campaign, you will see the rolls for his alternate abilities and hp.

I would be interested. This is my fighter created for CoT, but not make the cut in the campaign I applied for. If this starts going for real, let me know the requirements and I shall update the background and crunch

Realizing that the threatening Hellknight has not moved in several hours, Zarnak taps the Hellknight on the side of his helmet. HELLO, ANYBODY HOME!!!!

Suddenly realizing that in fact the Hellknight was formerly a member of the Queen's Guard in London and just really good at standing motionless. Zarnak says:
oops, sorry, my bad.
He then turns tail and runs - much faster than a heavily armored Hellknight.

I find that a combination of: --> Intimidate:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 - together with a big sword is usually quite effective at gaining compliance with contracts. Unless I am the one wanting to break them.

Zarnak, you still have the Finding Haleen favored class bonus listed in your stats. IIRC that was a trait in Legacy of Fire. :)

Nice writeup!

Oops - used a template from a human archer, took a little modification, must have missed that one. Will be fixed shortly. --> Fixed, corrected the FC bonus, 1 HP and 2 SP into intimidate

In my view reality and morality are both greatly overrated - that is what they make a big blade for.

Here is the tiefling -> demon spawn from Tirion

HP - Level 2 1d10 ⇒ 10
HP - Level 3 1d10 ⇒ 3

1. Why are you in Westcrown?
Zarnak is the outcast of outcasts. A tiefling, but not of infernal heritage. He found his way to Westcrown as it is more forgiving than many other cities in Cheliax and has allowed him to earn an honest living.

2. Given a chance would you hurl down the ruling houses and take their place? Or create a new form of government?
While Zarnak has rebelled against the evil and chaotic nature of his heritage, he sees no need for rules simply for the sake of rules. A civilized society necessarily requires certain rules and laws, but the absurd excess which the infernal worship in Cheliax takes rules must be stopped. Zarnak does not see himself as having the might to overthrow the ruling government in Westcrown, let alone Cheliax. However, he would support and assist such a rebellion which would eliminate slavery and provide citizens with more freedom.

3. What will you be able to contribute to the group?
While Zarnak is skilled with his falchion and quite capable of defeating enemies great and small, his unusual personality enables him to fool and intimidate enemies reducing the need for bloodshed or spell usage. Zarnak enjoys bloodshed as much as the next demon-orc, but understands that there is a time and a place for such combat. And that time is not when such warfare may risk his own, and his compatriots health. Years of fighting in the gladiatorial arenas taught Zarnak that slashing with his sword first was not always the best option.

4. How do you expect the character to develop roleplay wise? Mechanically?
He will learn that his companions are to be trusted. At the same time he desires to become the master of his chosen weapon, the falchion. While not lawful by any means, his neutral view of ethics and morals lets him trust and work with his team mates to maximize inflicted damage while minimizing damage to the party. He will continue to take feats which will allow him to use his charisma to dissuade enemies from even attacking.

5. I'm a Hellknight about to lay down some police brutality down on you. What do you say to stop me from breaking off my spiked greaved boot in your butt?
Excuse me, I understand that it is necessary to enforce the laws here. However, I have not violated any laws and was on my way to speak with Commander Gonnachewyouout. Would you prefer that I explain to him how you boot ended up in my a**, or should I continue on my way? --> Bluff:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14 --> Looks like I am getting the boot anyway.
