Alias created. For my character's ethnicity, it would seem "Cyran" is an ethnicity of its own (looking at Five Nations as a reference), so that's what I'll put down for that. For the tie-in, I like Max's idea of a connection with the Adaran/kalashtar community of Overlook. I would say that after staying in the community for a month or so she was invited to the Gathering Light, a community hall for the Adarans where her quiet intelligence and exotic dancing style earned her a place among the locals, as an equal if not one of their own. There she could have met and befriended Kalas, especially if he is the type who's friendly to newcomers. Though she would be highly interested in learning more about the psionic powers and heritage of Kalas, she would shy away from any attempts to convert her into a follower of the Light. Though she doesn't say so in as many words, she finds herself much more comfortable when surrounded by shadows and darkness. On a somewhat related note, these two becoming good friends could have an interesting light/dark interplay. His outgoing personality and devotion to the Light contrasting with her quiet and passive study of the shadows. I'm not sure exactly how devoted you wanted Kalas to be, or how outgoing he is, but it's a thought. |
