About Zaiid Flintwind
The underdark is not meant for the weak of body or heart. To thrive, one must be capable to survive the horrors that hide in shadow, and prey on the weak. The dark folk of drow, duergars and others all have learned from the shadows. As have the munavri though. Zaiid was a hunter of villians, much like many of his house. His father before him, the first mate of the Tideguard, one of the few bone ships to sail the great oceans beneath the surface world.
Zaiid would learn a lot from his father, of fighting and honor. He had earned the right to work with the ship itself yet, merely observing and helping storm the lands against dark elf and dark dwarf alike. They preyed on the weak, while the munavri preyed on them. It was the only life Zaiid knew, a life of daring heroism and while some looked on it as doing the few good the underdark ever saw, Zaiid looked at it as swift justice on those who did wrong. He cared far more about punishing drow than he did helping those who got caught.
This gungho and vicious approach to hunting his enemies is what caused him to one day become too ambitious in his hunt for them that he in turn was overpowered. Rather than just kill him though, or throw him to join the rest of the slaves, the clever drow knew what he was, and while they didn't know which ship or family he could be bargained to, a trade was a trade. Other munavri, or other drow, maybe even duergar would love such a rare treat. Now all he can do is plot an escape, or hope he dies before such a horrid thing can happen.
