Appearance & Background
--------------------
Yuto was born in the small town of Sandpoint, a quaint little spot north of the bustling city if Magnimar. Growing up in the family home on Gull Street near the Glassworks, his family and the Kaijitsus have a history going back to before their travels from Minkai to Varisia.

His grandfather Zaiho was a kind if stern man, far older than he would initially appear, having always worked in with the Kaijitsus no matter what, including at the Glassworks. His grandmother Meguma was sweet and worked as a minor seamstress for the town. His mother Kasuri, Zaiho and Meguma's only child, grew up a glassworker like her father, becoming enamored by a young Varisian man who wandered into town one day.

Nine months later, Yuto was born. He never knew his father, only that he was Varisian and that the scarf he wears is a token given to his mother from the man. Despite being a bastard, he lived what he thought was a relatively decent life. He grew up playing with the other kids of Sandpoint and generally had a good run of things, always getting in trouble with his close friend Ameiko.

However, for reasons he never quite understood, Ameiko's father and Yuto's family never really liked him playing so much with her. They tried to discourage it but the two always found ways to play together.

Until Zaiho took the young man away from Sandpoint. Yuto was informed that his family, the Yukimura's, were holders of an ancient form of fighting from the far-off lands of Minkai. As the sole heir to the family, he was honor-bound to learn the old techniques.

For two years, Yuto trained, his gangly body of youth becoming the toned body of a highly trained fighter. Proud of his grandson, Zaiho led the young man back to town.

That night, Zaiho and Kasuri were murdered by the Chopper. Joining the local guard to help find the serial killer, Yuto was one of the men who found Jervis Stoot in his home and keyed as the figure murdering the townsfolk. He personally set the man's house aflame.

With the death of his family members (his grandmother having passed several years earlier), Yuto was now lost. Turning back to his friends, he has found much solace from Ameiko, leaning on her for support. In turn, she has come to rely on him as well, having him help out around the Rusty Dragon.

No longer a member of the town guard, Yuto now works odd jobs around town, a bit at a loss for what to do.

Standing in at 5'5" and a lithe 140 pounds, Yuto keeps his black and straight hair about his shoulders, framing a face set by two emerald colored eyes. His skin is light but covered in small nicks and scars, reminders of his intense training with his now-deceased family.

He keeps a vibrantly colored scarf around his neck at all times, a reminder of his youth.
