Special Abilities

Agile (Ex) Kitsune receive a +2 racial bonus on Acrobatics checks.
Change Shape (Su) A kitsune can assume the appearance of a specific single human form of the same sex. The kitsune always takes this specific form when she uses this ability. A kitsune in human form cannot use her bite attack, but gains a +10 racial bonus on Disguise checks made to appear human. Changing shape is a standard action. This ability otherwise functions as alter self, except that the kitsune does not adjust her ability scores and can remain in this form indefinitely.
Ki Pool (SU) At 2nd level, a ninja gains a pool of ki points, supernatural energy she can use to accomplish amazing feats. The number of points in the ninja's ki pool is equal to 1/2 her ninja level + her Charisma modifier. As long as she has at least 1 point in her ki pool, she treats any Acrobatics skill check made to jump as if she had a running start. At 10th level, she also reduces the DC of Acrobatics skill checks made to jump by 1/2 (although she still cannot move farther than her speed allows).

By spending 1 point from her ki pool, a ninja can make one additional attack at her highest attack bonus, but she can do so only when making a full attack. In addition, she can spend 1 point to increase her speed by 20 feet for 1 round. Finally, a ninja can spend 1 point from her ki pool to give herself a +4 insight bonus on Stealth checks for 1 round. Each of these powers is activated as a swift action. A ninja can gain additional powers that consume points from her ki pool by selecting certain ninja tricks.

The ki pool is replenished each morning after 8 hours of rest or meditation; these hours do not need to be consecutive. If the ninja possesses levels in another class that grants points to a ki pool, ninja levels stack with the levels of that class to determine the total number of ki points in the combined pool, but only one ability score modifier is added to the total. The choice of which score to use is made when the second class ability is gained, and once made, the choice is set. The ninja can now use ki points from this pool to power the abilities of every class she possesses that grants a ki pool.
Natural Weapons In her natural form, a kitsune has a bite attack that deals 1d4 points of damage.

Poison Use At 1st level, a ninja is trained in the use of poison and cannot accidentally poison herself when applying poison to a weapon.

Superior Shapeshifter Some talented kitsune take more naturally to shapeshifting than magic, and develop that gift. They gain Fox Shape as a bonus feat at 1st level, ignoring its prerequisites. This racial trait replaces kitsune magic.


Description and Personality:
Yumiko is an eighteen year old woman of a rare kitsune bloodline standing only four foot seven and weighing around ninetyfive pounds with strawberry blonde hair reaching to mid back in a loose fall and framing her face. She has a far more human appearance than most kitsune with the obvious features being her fox ears and tail and her tawny eyes. She is most often found wearing a Galtan Maid’s outfit, the apron of which is a harimaki, and a pair of fans worked into the garment that she can use as weapons. When going into a more serious situation she has a pair of wakizachi’s that she can wield for a more dangerous offensive choice.

Yumiko

Yumiko is a very quite young woman who she rarely draws attention to herself and is most comfortable in the background where she can serve her mistress and watch for trouble. She is incredible loyal to Katsumi and will do what it takes to keep her safe. While she prefers to avoid a fight she uses her unassuming appearance to surprise enemies and take them down quickly when it becomes necessary.


Background:
]Yurishi Yumiko (百合由美子) was born in the country of Minkai to the Yurishi kitsune clan and grew up alongside Sakurai Katsumi, lower nobles to whom her clan had been allied with for the last century or so. While both are of roughly equal station within their families, and neither family is truly subordinate to the other, the Yurishi clan has traditionally taken the more subservient roll. Given their ninja tradition this has served them well and they have traditionally kept the Sakurai family from getting too full of themselves in typical kitsune fashion. She learned how to be unseen, to blend in, react to threats quickly, and demonstrated skill enough with traps to be taught how to disarm even magical ones.

The two were close friends growing up and it was understood that they would be paired together for the rest of their lives with Yumiko taking the role of Katsumi's maid. As they grew up and waited for Katsume to either marry or be called into service they kept each other company and had the occasional adventure together.

When Katsumi was called into service there was no doubt that Yumiko would go with her to serve as her maid (for no woman should be surrounded by an army alone who was still to be wed), her spy, and her "dirty tricks" girl. Yumiko spent most of this time hiding her true nature and when the disaster in the woods happened leaving them stranded on the other side of the world Yumiko was the only one to realize something had gone wrong.

Alone in a distant land Yumiko continued her duties and she and Katsumi became far closer than was generally acceptable reaching the point of becoming lovers. During their time in Avistan Yumiko has been careful to keep her true nature and skills hidden and continued the tradition of making sure a certain samurai she loved did not get too full of herself. When they heard about the mission to reclaim the stolen lands and Katsumi decided to join Yumiko was right beside her. She would see her friend through this and have lots of fun in the process, of this she was sure.


Friends:

Pierre DuChamps An older human man from Galtan who works as the head butler for House Lebeda. When Yumiko and Katsumi first became allied with House Lebeda Pierre took Yumiko under his wing and taught her how maids worked on this side of the world as well as helped her with learning the Taldan language better. He was also the one to introduce her to the ever sexy Galtean Maid outfit.

Eudomia Gessentry A varissian woman and one of the Lebedan maids around Yumiko's age that helped her learn how to do things in the "proper way" in Avistan and a close confidant.

Kedsden Marrow A young half-elven boy who is a "Wealth Redistribution Specialist" for the local thieves guild. He helped Yumiko make contact with and develope cordial relations with the local thieves guild

Mrrrov A catfolk woman who actually works as a contact for some of the bandit groups in the area. She also serves as a point of contact between bandits and the local thieves guild to help avoid tensions between the groups flaring too badly. She is a moderate influence with the bandits and tries to make sure they don't prey on those who can't afford it.


Enemies:

Ionia Cavedre A Taldan woman who served as a maid for the Lebedans when Katsumi and Yumiko first allied with them. Yumiko found out the woman had been stealing from the nobles when she tried to steal Katsumi's ancient tea set. While she foiled the theft and exposed Ionia the woman got away from her and fled before Yumiko could bring her before the Lebedans for judgement.

While this galled Yumiko that she failed in capturing Ionia she was also somewhat pleased. There was a bit of a friendship and attraction there as well. Yumiko respect Ionia's skills and sees her as a rival that she will beat and humiliate in some fashion one of these days.
