The Witchwar Legacy - advice

I'm going to be GMing this module for my friends and am having them roll up characters at level 14 with epic fantasy buy.

Reading through the first part I have a few questions about GMing this module:

Question 1:
Where is reference material for Whitethrone?

I'm having an issue trying to figure out a hook to get them to the veil. I am already making them assume the position that they are freelancers. But I want to give them the option to go to whitethrone or holvirgang and decide who they want to work for (if any at all). They show holvirgang but not whitethrone.

Question 2:
Setting up area 1. Giant Base Camp

Any pointers on this? I'm going to try and divide up my players, but with giants how can I isolate individuals and surround them with giants at this level?

Question 3:
area 2. The Freezing Stair

How long are these stairs? It is vague. I feel like the way it's written that they will get through the stairs in 1 round unless they stop and look at the lumps of ice.

I'm not the greatest GM so any newb advice would be appreciated.

I am running a level 17 module for my friends because they are impatient and want to run epic level stuff immediately.

Question: What would be a good starter package to put together for level 17 starting gear?

Responses I'm looking for would discuss the range of magical items/armor/weapons they can possess at the beginning or large sums of gp.

I'm not sure on the specifics of the amount of gp a PC would have acquired by that level and/or the average items a level 17 PC would possess.

I'm looking for serious answers, as well as some not so serious ones. Basically, any answer will be considered.
New (online) player(s) looking for campaign

A friend of mine and I have been campaigning with a group for a few years now, but due to time constraints on the party and a lack of commitment, we haven't been getting our fill of adventure and are looking to branch out to the online community.

We are interested in pathfinder campaign and have enough game experience to jump into anything, but we are lacking in the online etiquette and all things related.
