About Yellowstone
Many oreads arise from the union of the proud Keleshite peoples with noble shaitan genies. The people of Yellowstone's village are not of such descent. As best anyone can tell, they were once halflings before they formed a close bond with mephits of salt and ooze, with some families favouring earth and lava.
A Kelish merchant caravan happened upon this isolated oasis in the mountainous depths of the Empire, carrying an intelligent child to Katheer to exhibit as a wonder.
The leaders of the Pathfinder Society, seeking researchers who could best adapt the teachings of Thassilonian sin magic while guarded by suitably reliable character from the wickedness of the Runelords, saw potential in the proverbial level-headedness of an oread to deal safely with the arts of Wrath from Bakrakhan. Yellowstone began his studies in a set of rooms at Farseer Tower in Katapesh, alongside an elf, Ekasa, assigned to the study of Greed. The students learned basic spellcraft from Korvosan graduate Elisae Argonessa and the Thassilonian language from the dubious desert wanderer Hattash.
