If that happens, then the entire table just got all of their characters permanently moved to normal PFS. I'm sure no one would be happy with that, when they didn't do anything wrong and were legally playing a CORE only game. It's also the only Core Only legal choice to react to a player having a non core rule for half the session. It really isn't, there is also the TPK to safe the day :P
I Liked the Kinetics, but more because of the flavor. Think that the Paizo staff will have their work cut out to get this bunched balanced.a second play-test would not be a luxury as things stand now.
Hey
Sara, No i did not get that mail.
It has Maestro wich is the same as Mastercard, but that wil lbe why it does not work. We will ook for an alternative then.
Cheers
Hey a couple of months ago I mailed you about a problem t oset up a debit card as payment method, but I think you missed the mail in the rush of the Com back then.

Reactionary is always good to have as the sooner it is your turn in combat the better. The drawback is that if you pick this one you can not take a second combat trait.
In Faith traits, a nice one is
Spirit Sense: You are so attuned to the spiritual world that it is hard to get the jump on you. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Perception checks to avoid being surprised and to detect invisible or incorporeal creatures.
And also make sure to take a look at the Racial Traits, sometimes it is good to take 1
While I am trying to stimulate my group to role-play more, the reward is never XP (they get party wide rp for the scenarios and that is is.) That being said good rp should be rewarded, and at my table the reward is, some roll bonuses, getting more room to make an encounter epic. And if one does particularly well there will be some more loot.
Like many have said before XP is just a way to track the development of player, and killing a goblin shouldn't really have an impact on development...
Depending on the group I am playing with, I might quickly draw a room, but usually downtime is played without a map, relying more on role play instead of having them roll for stuff. ( Since dice rolls can suck at times)
Yeah it would have been fun to stack but this works too. At least you get an option to slot a ability modifier in a body slot.
Thanks, well I'll prob go for the Cyber muscles then, since that will leave my Belt slot free for the Belt of stoneskin.
Hey guys,
planning my Barbarian build I had a q about cyberfiber Muscles.
I am planning to get the Belt of giant strength to get the +2 on my STR. Would buying cyberfiber muscle stack with it or not?
Since they are not in the same slot (belt and body) I hope they do stack, but lately i noticed it often doesn't play out that way.
Darn, guess I should have applied my rule of awesome on it. If it sounds awesome, it is probably not allowed :p
cool thank you, and another question, I will pick up a ring of protection after the next level up. I can have two rings, but do the effect stack if I take two rings of protection?
While raging, you gain two claw attacks. These attacks are considered primary attacks and are made at your full BAB. They deal 1d6 slashing damage if you are Medium-sized (1d4 if Small) plus Str modifier.
This seems like a fun thing to do (with the upgrades also being sweet)
But how do I interpret this? I usually fight with my Two handed Falchion. So Do i get two claw attacks + my Falchion attack, or can i only use it when unarmed?
@Hogeyhead,
You are correct, already had ring of deflection and the amulet of natural armour, and the belt of stoneskin on my list of things i want. Just wondered if you could enchant Armour the same way you could weapons
@Razal-Thule bracers of armor do not stack with armour, so the +5 version of the Mithral chain shirt is still better (+9)
So if Mage Armour does not stack with the AC from an armour, what would be a good enchantment for either upping the AC or the DR of my character?
Hey All,
So I have a Mithral chain shirt. Working towards becoming a come and get me Barbarian, i figured that i could use all the AC i can get.
Can I enchant my chain shirt with mage armour to get the +4AC bonus?
I figured that would be it.
Thanks for the info
Hey,
I figure that with GenCon there is a a delay in response from the customer service email, but any idea how long that delay is?
I started my group (first time GMing to) off with In Service to lore. Good adventures to get started with to learn the dynamics.
Next game will be Silent Tide, and the all the paths containging grand Master Torch
Ah well that would explain the trouble I was having in bringing those sources together.
So if just playing PFS I can go by the Guide. So when would one use the Ultimate Campaign rules?
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateCampaign/campaignSystems/reputat ionAndFame.html
Fame 20
This is the typical Fame of an adventurer who has completed several adventures and whom the public is starting to take notice of.
Initiate (Title, 1 PP): A powerful organization accepts you into its ranks. This could be a knighthood, a sagacious cabal of mages, or an order of monks. One skill appropriate to that organization becomes a class skill for you. You may select this title multiple times; each time you select it, you choose an appropriate organization to join and another skill that becomes a class skill. The GM determines whether an organization is available and what skills are appropriate choices for it.
thx, what confuses me is that to get a membership you need 20 fame and 1PP. But for the Hunters Lodge (with the book) it is just 2PP but no fame restriction.
So if I understand this correctly I could get a membership at the HL either by paying the 2PP now or wait until I have 20Fame and then pay 1PP ?
Ah thx but does the lodge count as an organisation? Or are those two things entirely different?
Hey all,
I can't seem to find the source anymore but can't you join a Hunters lodge for 2PP to get to use a survive roll for your Job roll?
Or do you need to get Fame 20 and join one as an initiate? and if so any useful organizations for a Half orc Barbarian?

It's not Pathfinder for Dummies, but they do have a beginner box that starts you off a bit easier than just jumping right into the current. From what I understand, it narrows the focus a bit, presenting the info you'd need to run a game without as many variables. Haha yeah I bought that one :P good maps and pawns and easy explanation of the game dynamics but my players quickly shifted to a full Half elf group with 5 different classes so I had a lot of rule reading to do.
Which I do not mind, I like the hours spend figuring it out. I just get that not everyone has the patience for it.
@Gorbacz how did you set it up? I can't seem to find a way to set one up
They Do, that is interesting, i will check that out.
Yeah but that is only if you live in the states. So for Euro-players not the best way to go.
Ah well that makes sense, so probably got lucky and found one that was trying to get rid of its stock. I figured that being a publisher and retailer, that it wouldn't be possible to beat their prices, but good to see they are being gracious in business.
Also any reason why they do not take pay-pall
No Franz,
I am comparing the NPC codex with the NPC codex, and Bestiary 1,2,3,4 with Bestiary 1,2,3,4.
So because Paizo does not take paypal and the fact that I refuse to take a credit card just to order Paizo stuff, I browsed around the net to see if i could order it from other vendors. That proved to be quite easy but what surprised me was that it was a whole lot cheaper too. (and that is without the free shipping.)
How is that possible? Shouldn't buying at the source be the cheapest way to get a product?

Hey March,
As a new GM (started a group with 5 rpg rookies and thus Gm'ing will be my responsibility for this campaign) I get that Paizo can be overwhelming. As even with just the regular character creation there are a lot of rules to keep track off.
Now because there is no Pathfinder for Dummies book (I would by it if there was) I implemented the following rules for our monthly games.
- I want the players to know their own traits, feats and skills. So last time we spend a lot of time making sure they knew the dynamics of their own character. Because if you do not know how to use it properly you can not use it at the table
- Before hand I want to know what spells, or special abilities a character has. While I will not remind a player of a possible action, I do want to know before hand what they could do.
So while it doesn't change the fact that I have spend many hours with my nose in the Paizo rule books, and I still feel I have a mountain of info to process before I can even start to compare myself to the GM's I play under. (VC and VL here) That does help me not having to break up the game to much to look for rules in the many books.
While I would love to see Paizo offer a simplified version of the game. My advise would be, make sure your players help you out by not blindsiding you with the abilities of their build.
I am planning on getting a scabbar of keen edge, since 3 times a day seems enough to me.
Just wondering now if I should take furious our couragious first.
Well courageous and furious do seem like a great combo
wait a second
A courageous weapon fortifies the wielder's courage and morale in battle. The wielder gains a morale bonus on saving throws against fear equal to the weapon's enhancement bonus. In addition, any morale bonus the wielder gains from any other source is increased by half the weapon's enhancement bonus
How does that affect my STr/Con during raging?
haha well that's why you have first builds right, to see how things go. Just important for me to get these things right since I am GM for a group of total RPG rookies. (Not new to rpg's but never had a build before as it was mostly stand alone adventures)
Ah okay i see where I messed up I thought the Furious or the Keen also gave you a +1. But they just add to the cost. Thanks for the visual explanation @Kirth I will then prob just take Furious and leave keen for the scabbar of keen edge or something like that along the line/
Thanks for all the advice guys,I will indeed prob drop flame since it is more an aesthetic choice lol. but now for the math part.
When enhancing a weapon you pay +1= 2k +2= 8K +3=18K +4=32K +5=50K
Furious Price +1 bonus
Keen Price +1 bonus
So since my falchion is already master-work would it be
+ 2K for the +1 and + 2K for Furious
Making it 4K to get a +1 Furious master-work Falchion.
and then +6K for +2 and +2K for Keen
For a +2 Furious, Keen master-work Falchion?
Yeah found the explanation for that one. It does sound like a good thing to pic up.
One thing that confuses me (first character)
When taking Furious is it also possible to take flaming or is that a real waist of money?
@Demoyn Oh wait the +5 is that to dmg? I thought that the +5 was to attack roll. Or is that just for masterwork?
As for furious:
A furious weapon serves as a focus for its wielder's anger. When the wielder is raging or under the effect of a rage spell, the weapon's enhancement bonus is +2 better than normal.
Does this mean that it is that if I have the +5 version it becomes +7 when raging?
Cool,
So getting Flaming will cost me 8000 gp (since my Falchion is already masterwork) So adding Keen to it will be another 10K right?
So Keen and flaming do sound like what I want on my Falchion.
So what order should I go Flaming and then Keen or Keen and then Flaming.
Love critical hits but extra damage is always fun too
So my Barbarian now has a masterwork Falchion and will be looking to upgrade it further in the next couple of levelups.
I was thinking of making it a Flaming Falchion +1 (for the extra d6 dmg) but is there any upgrade that is smarter or any thing that can be added later on?
cheers
Oh well still gets me my +1 initiative :p couldn't really find a better trait out side of the combat category
ok so basically,
Flatfooded until i can act. Still better than being surprised lol
You have fought in several battles, and each time felt the presence of the God of War guiding your sword-arm, making you ready to act at a moment's notice.
Benefits: You gain a +1 trait bonus on initiative checks, and if you are able to act during a surprise round, you may draw a weapon (but not a potion or magic item) as a free action during that round.
So does this mean that I am not longer caught flatfooted during a surprise round?
And can i draw my weapon at once, or do i need to wait for something?
Hmm what Racial trait did you trade in for Endurance?
So what race did you use for this one?
Thanks Lastoth and GMBS,
As for Feats,
Combat Reflexes (Combat) or Power Attack?
I chose PA over Toughness thinking i could pick it up later, but CR sounds a good thing to have too :p
True but is the drawing your weapon in surprise round really worth the +1 on initiative you lose?
And if it does, what would be a suitable replacement for Killer? Since it only helps on critical hits. (+2 dmg if i am not mistaken)
