Detailed background:

Born to a human mother who ran an apothecary, Xochtli was raised mainly by her mother. her father had been an elven druid and she never got to know much about him before he was killed. She loves the wilderness but feared the punishment of taking the same path as her father. However it did not stop her from learning more about what in nature she could use to help those around her who could not afford magic... who could not earn the money for such luxuries. While she dabbles a little in such when she helps her mothers trade, she found that more and more often she needed to find more rarer and potent plants and ingredients, things of that nature rarely passed through Red Grove but if the rumor arose of wares she could obtain she would find a way to obtain them... even if she could not afford it, justifying that it would go to help those who are less able to help themselves. Of course many times she has come under suspicion she eventually grew quite apt at talking herself out of trouble, even more so as the locals grew more fond of the girls help when she could offer it.
