Chatting with my friends, we got to wondering how much more there is to create with this edition. I see that 1E was 10 years old and 2E is only 2.5 years old. My crew was originally introduced to the Pathfinder card game and bought the boxes. Once we heard about 2E in 2019, we made the transition, so we are still somewhat fresh with all of the possibilities with the roleplaying game. Reading through all of the new listed ancestries in the Ancestry Guide, it made us realize that there could be so much more, but we realistically have no idea.

For those who have more knowledge and/or experience from 1E and with 2E, how much more is there for 2E to offer in the coming years? If there are threads about this, please direct me to them; I'm all for reading through them as needed. I'm more of a lurker than poster but I'm not on here often enough to keep up with all of the activity. Thank you.

I will be sharing this thread with my friends, in case they want some sense of direction with their characters. Thank you for the effort to put this together.

What are your thoughts about playing a ranger in this campaign? Reading more into the Player's Guide, yes, the nature aspect appears to not be used much at all, but I see some potential benefits.

1. Hunt Prey - I'd like to think it can be useful in the city.

2. Twin Takedown: You can use saps to get multiple agile attacks in fights.

3. Flurry for Hunter's Edge: with the nonlethal aspect of the campaign, using saps means your MAP is 0/-2/-4

Combine this with the Grizzled Muckrucker background, which makes you trained in Survival and gain Experienced Tracker, that appears to be a nice Lvl 1 start. Am I thinking too much?

Not gonna lie, if I want to have some fun with my GM, I'll try to make Barney Fife or Rosco P. Coltrane. Instead of police cars, I'll make them have the Sally Guard Neophyte background to get a riding horse along with the shoddy armor and weapons.

My GM is allowing my group of three to dual class in this campaign, which opens up some possibilities.

I am intrigued with the idea of a neutral good dwarf monk/witch, with the Grizzled Muckrucker background (The Puddles)
