Does Flyby Attack give a free standard action?

Flyby Attack wrote:

This creature can make an attack before and after it moves while flying.

Prerequisite: Fly speed.

Benefit: When flying, the creature can take a move action and another standard action at any point during the move. The creature cannot take a second move action during a round when it makes a flyby attack.

Normal: Without this feat, the creature takes a standard action either before or after its move.

I'm certain this is not RAI. I know this isn't PFS eligible. And I would almost certainly houserule that you may only take one standard action per turn even with this feat. But... This wording seems to imply that it allows a Monster to take two standard actions on its turn.

I would like to see some conclusive interpretation that I'm wrong. But given that this is all the information on the topic that there is, I'm fully aware that it is unlikely. Mostly, just discuss, perhaps FAQ if you feel there is some ambiguity, but I personally don't think there is.

Could I apply Minor Spell Expertise or it's Major form to spells out of a Wizard/Magus spellbook?

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

So, someone in an advice thread brought up a build with a Magus using a two handed weapon, and he said Spellstrike could give a Magus, that no longer benefits from Spell Combat, the ability to attack twice at full BAB in one round. I'm certain that he was implying that the Magus could do this with one round of preparation, but I'm not certain he is right. Because I'm uncertain what kind of action a touch attack is.

Say you were to cast a spell with a range of touch, doesn't matter which, but rather than deploying it then, for whatever reason, you Hold the Charge and on your next turn you chose to deliver this touch attack on a single opponent.

I know it's a free action when you cast the spell, and a full round action when you touch six separate targets, but it doesn't specify if those six touches need to be done on willing opponents, or if they can be delivered on the same opponent, or what kind of modifiers apply to these touch attacks (aside from spell dependent ones).

Should they be unarmed strikes?

Say I have a fighter with the Feat Step up or any of it's higher level versions, and I engage an enemy with a Reach weapon.

If they take a five foot step back to get their full attack on me, and I activate Step up as an Immediate action to move out of their threatened squares, do they get their attack?

And with it's sequel Following Step, does such an action provoke an AoO?

If a character is given Proficiency with an exotic weapon, do they get the Exotic Weapon Proficiency benefits for that weapon?

For instance, can a Kensai select either a Katana or a Bastard sword as his one favored weapon type and use it as a one handed weapon?
