When I take the improved familiar feat, I know I get a new group of familiars to choose from. I was looking at the Azata, Lyrakien to be specific. My question is does my character benefit from the familiar's feats and skills or do they effect the familiar only? Like for the Lyrakien she gets a +9 to perception, +11 to bluff & diplomacy, +8 to knowledge, +5 to spellcraft, do those help me when I am making those checks? Also, it has a +10 to acrobatics, +16 to fly, & a +18 to stealth. Do, I get to benefit from them as well if I need to make an acrobatics, fly, or stealth check. Also, do I benefit from its feats of improved initiative and agile maneuvers? As a separate question, when I take this feat and decide on this familiar does it just automatically change after a night of ritual or is there a monetary cost involved as well?
