"Consider it done Katswiri" Xander watches the half elf as Katswiri wakes the cleric his sword resting across his shoulders in the ready for combat position but not doing anything else aggressive posture wise. "Hopefully that one can be saved, I have enough blood on my hands already from foes who did not need to die, and I grieve for each one that is slain that does not need to be."
Xander's vision clears as he recognizes his surrounds and his view point being on his back a familiar position from his time training with the vastly more experienced paladins of the order. "Just another day in service to Iomedae, thanks to whoever healed me by the way, I owe you one." Xander slams his hand against his breast plate twice and a small glow enters Xanders body healing his wounds.
Xander then stands up and seeing his sword laying on the ground snaps it to his hand with a quick jerk of the weapon cord.
Xander's serious face cracks ever so slightly as the faint traces of a grin are evident as he fights to avoid laughing as the Gnome juggles the potions with relative ease. "I don't need one yet Kronas, so please keep the potions safe in case one of us ends up needing them...oh and before i forget good job on figuring out what they were, i could never pass that part when we got tests."
Xander hears Kronas shout and turns to Talia his draconic red eyes focused on her for a second as if looking for something in particular. "Well Talia you heard the fellow, feel free to open the door." Xander draws his massive greatsword and waits blade at the ready in case attackers are lurking nearby inside the building.
Xander follows the group as they approach the house. "Well this doesnt look good" Xander points to the signs of a prolonged absence with the stacks of newspaper. {b]"Knock first or check out the surroundings first?"[/b] Xander asks his attention more toward scanning the area around the party as the fact that the place looks deserted yet everything looks open and inviting is making him suspicous.
Xander easily holds Katswiri's acknowledging her reasoning behind it. "Reminds me of my youth when i had to carry a huge rock on my back in order to give the older members of my order a chance to beat me in the physical exercises." Xander waits for the others to speak first, as while he reasonably smart he is confident the others will be able to take all the pieces and put them together in the blink of an eye.
Xander feels the poison enter him but Iomedae stops the poison in its tracks and swiftly pushes it out of his body. Xander grunts at the stingers withdraw before swinging his greatsword at the creature who missed earlier.
Xander then shuffle steps to the corner blocking the other creature from attacking anyone without suffering several return strikes.
Xander stands to join Katswiri who moves steadily toward the bar to ask about the package they were tasked to retrieve. "Indeed Aram duty calls. I intend to make this the first of many trips to this place and would love to discuss the topic more." Xander then moves to rejoin hsi companions at the bar.
"You're a worshipper of Iomedae, Xander? " "Indeed I am Katswiri, iomedae is a diety of honor, valor, and justice. I was bornand raised by a paladin order who followed Iomedae most devotedly, and though I was the only non human there they took me in and raised me without judgement or false accusation for not being one of them." Xander pauses and takes a long sip of his drink clearly thing about his words carefully. "Sir Aram, i have thought on your question and while the task to attain divinity is undoubtedly difficult and challenging I believe it is necessary for mortals to be able to occasionally reach out and attain it none the less for if we mortals cant improve ourselves and help make the land a better place then their would be no purpose to anything as we mortals would be unable to do anything great or anything that has meaning."
Xander listens to Katswiri's reveal about being touched by the gods with surprise as he did not see any identifying symbols or markings that indicated as such. "Worry not Katswiri, I have no doubt that your gifts will help the Pathfinder Society as much as they will help you use your gifts to the fullest." Xander turns back to face the Sarenite, "well Aram I cannot promise when I will be able to visit your store in the future, but I'm glad that experienced pathfinders like yourself are around to help us rookies out."
Xander moves to join the Keleshite man after grabbing a drink and offering his thanks to the bartender. "For the servants of deities such as ourselves we are never past our prime my friend. The name is Xander Draft, and I hope i have the fortitude to reach your age as a pathfinder and one as experienced as you must be."
Xander looks down at gnome he missed despite having been with them for a considerable amount of time. "Excellent, it is good to meet another gnome. I'm sorry i did not say hi to you earlier but I am uh whats the word.....ahh yes unobservant. I have been known to walk into a wall because i did not see it." Xander then resumes his silent watch hoping that the contact they are waiting for arrives soon.
Xander shifts slightly in his armor, the quiet half orc having listened intently to the story a faint grin on his face visible underneath his hood. "Worry not my little friend, you are in good company."Xanders red dragon eyes scan the surrounding area and seeing the person they are supposed to meet sighs loudly. "Next time, we get a meeting point that's out in the elements, if the contact isn't there waiting I vote we move indoors and wait there rather wait outside for who knows how long in the rain."
Xander Draft is a half orc paladin. He stands in the front with a great sword and cestus and attempts to smash those who oppose them. Very standard melee paladin who now level 2 can lay on hands hit hard and isnt such an iron tank that he gets ignored. Xander has Darkvision out to 120 feet. No Day Job, hasn't run confirmation, and no way-finder yet. |
