So, before I go into details on how odd this campaign is, I need to mention that this is being played over Skype with an Italian friend and her group of players that I managed to join (simply because I'm her friend and interested in actually role-playing every once in a while). As such, the time stamps will be in my time zone, because I live in Washington State.
Now... because I don't know the specific layout of how to post this, I'll copy-paste it from my Skype side, to make things a bit more fair.
--------
[10/4/2014 11:59:08 AM] Enrico Martinelli: Lily: Here I am! :)
[10/4/2014 12:01:30 PM] Xamusel: Yo!
[10/4/2014 12:01:55 PM] Xamusel: Sorry for the delay in reply, was on the phone with my mom, who I tried calling when she was in bed earlier.
[10/4/2014 12:02:12 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Lily: It's no problem. The team is all here. :)
[10/4/2014 12:03:12 PM] Xamusel: Good.
[10/4/2014 12:03:22 PM] Xamusel: You'll be the intermediary for the group, right?
[10/4/2014 12:03:59 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Lily: Pretty much.
[10/4/2014 12:04:08 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Enrico: We are all ready to go!
[10/4/2014 12:04:23 PM] Xamusel: Oh, good, that's helpful.
[10/4/2014 12:04:23 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Aurora: I'm kinda excited...
[10/4/2014 12:04:36 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Alvise: I'm ready as well.
[10/4/2014 12:04:41 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Carla: Me too.
[10/4/2014 12:04:52 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Davide: We can start when you want.
[10/4/2014 12:04:58 PM] Xamusel: Alright.
[10/4/2014 12:06:01 PM] Xamusel: Now, if you guys didn't get the advance warning, I had managed to acquire an Adventure Path for this campaign... not sure if it'll happen again, but it's gonna be used for this one.
[10/4/2014 12:06:40 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Aurora: Lily told us. What Adventure Path will we be using?
[10/4/2014 12:07:15 PM] Xamusel: Reign of Winter.
[10/4/2014 12:08:00 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Aurora: Never heard of it.
[10/4/2014 12:08:17 PM] Xamusel: It features Baba Yaga as the main person of concern.
[10/4/2014 12:08:37 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Davide: Baba Yaga? As in, the legendary witch of Russian lore?
[10/4/2014 12:08:50 PM] Xamusel: Yep.
[10/4/2014 12:08:54 PM] Xamusel: The one and the same.
[10/4/2014 12:09:35 PM] Xamusel: Paizo went all out with the crazy additions, even having {REDACTED} as her son.
[10/4/2014 12:09:48 PM] Xamusel: By the way, the redacted bit is a spoiler.
[10/4/2014 12:10:05 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Enrico: Oooh, I think we're going to enjoy that! :)
[10/4/2014 12:10:27 PM] Xamusel: Yep... I think so, too.
[10/4/2014 12:10:49 PM] Xamusel: Also, trivia time: the current year in Golarion is 2013 our calendar.
[10/4/2014 12:11:15 PM] Xamusel: Just add 2700 years to it.
[10/4/2014 12:11:26 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Lily: Alright. Well, then, I think everyone is ready.
[10/4/2014 12:11:57 PM] Xamusel: Alright. Now... let's get the show and adventure on the road!
[10/4/2014 12:12:13 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Carla: Let's go! :)
[10/4/2014 12:13:14 PM] Xamusel: "The sleepy village of Heldren has rarely seen so much
excitement or concern. Hunters from the nearby Border Wood
speak of unnaturally cold weather at the height of summer that
descended on the forest just days ago. Heavy snow followed,
and those who returned spoke of an uneasy presence in the
woods, as well as new, dangerous predators. No one knows
what this event means, but the town’s soothsayer, Old Mother
Theodora, claims dark times lie ahead.
As if in proof of that dire prophecy, a badly wounded
mercenary arrived in town yesterday, claiming to be a bodyguard
of Lady Argentea Malassene. He told the village council that
the noblewoman’s escort came under attack by bandits and
strange, wintry creatures near the edge of the Border Wood.
He alone escaped, and Lady Argentea was dragged away into
the forest. Now the townsfolk cast fearful eyes toward the
snowy forest, worried what else might emerge to threaten their
peaceful village."
[10/4/2014 12:13:46 PM | Edited 12:13:52 PM] Xamusel: ...if you're wondering, I'm copy-pasting the material, to make it easier on us all.
[10/4/2014 12:14:06 PM] Enrico Martinelli: (OOC: It's okay, no problem)
[10/4/2014 12:14:29 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: Good.)
[10/4/2014 12:15:07 PM] Xamusel: Now... before the adventure continues: You all know each other from somewhere, but where and how?
[10/4/2014 12:15:41 PM] Xamusel: It would make sense if you knew each other from this village, to a degree.
[10/4/2014 12:16:41 PM] Enrico Martinelli: (OOC: Yeah, in the end we decided to go with that. We are a group of friends from Heldren, who are concerned aboutthe recentevents and innatural cold.)
[10/4/2014 12:17:06 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: Okay, that's good to hear, then.)
[10/4/2014 12:17:42 PM] Xamusel: Now... anyone interested in hearing the local rumors?
[10/4/2014 12:18:11 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Yeah, it would certainly help understanding what's going on.
[10/4/2014 12:18:26 PM] Xamusel: If so, roll a d20, and use either Diplomacy or Local Knowledge for this one.
[10/4/2014 12:18:56 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: I'll be the one to try. I'll roll my Diplomacy check.
[10/4/2014 12:19:11 PM] Xamusel: Okay.
[10/4/2014 12:19:18 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: 11+6=17
[10/4/2014 12:25:28 PM] Xamusel: Alright, Dorothy, here's what you've managed to gather. It's unseasonably cold for midsummer, even snowing in the Border Woods, for Aroden's sake! People suspect magic, and fear if it's Qadrian agents at work. You also learn that Old Man Dansby, a local farmer, is complaining of people stealing his crops, or what's left of them, anyway. Also, another farmer has a son who's gotten sick because he fell into a frozen river, seeing a white stag that purportedly spoke in Common! As the final bit of knowledge you got out of it, a group of Rangers in the Border Woods called the High Sentinels had been curbing the bandit problem, but they seem to be doing a poor job currently.
[10/4/2014 12:25:55 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: Sorry for the wall of text, wanted to share it in one go.)
[10/4/2014 12:26:24 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: A white stag speaking in Common? Can I do a Knowledge (arcana) check? Maybe I know something about it.
[10/4/2014 12:26:51 PM] Xamusel: You can try, but it might not reveal anything at all.
[10/4/2014 12:27:05 PM] Xamusel: Keep that in mind, unless you're dead set on it.
[10/4/2014 12:27:43 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: Hmm, okay then, I'll still try.
[10/4/2014 12:27:56 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho 3+6=9
[10/4/2014 12:27:57 PM] Xamusel: Alright.
[10/4/2014 12:28:36 PM] Xamusel: *wince* Sorry, you don't know anything on this white stag, Soho.
[10/4/2014 12:28:48 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: Oh well. Worth a try.
[10/4/2014 12:29:01 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: It's a plot point, anyway.)
[10/4/2014 12:29:21 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: For now, the best thing we can do might be investigate Lady Argentea's kidnapping.
[10/4/2014 12:30:27 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: So, it seems she was taken by bandits, right? Near the Border Wood, if I remember right.
[10/4/2014 12:30:55 PM] Xamusel: Yes, that's what you have managed to gather, anyway.
[10/4/2014 12:31:23 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: I see. Then, I guess we might be the best chance to discover what's going on.
[10/4/2014 12:32:09 PM] Xamusel: Before you go, though, you get approached by the village council.
[10/4/2014 12:32:51 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: Oh, the village council. Please tell us... we want to do everything in our power to solve this crisis.
[10/4/2014 12:34:46 PM] Xamusel: The head of the council, a woman named Ionnia Teppen, speaks up. "You, who are about to head out of the village, are you really intent on solving the crisis?"
[10/4/2014 12:35:35 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: We are, Lady Teppen. It is our land, after all, and we want to do whatever it takes to keep it safe.
[10/4/2014 12:37:23 PM] Xamusel: Ionnia: "I see... before you go, you need to know what happened from the only survivor in the area." With that, she gestures you to follow her, heading towards the Willowbark Apothecary.
[10/4/2014 12:38:23 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: It was our intention to ask him a few questions before we go. And, if possible, to purchase some heavier clothing.
[10/4/2014 12:38:24 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: If you're wondering, the survivor has some valuable info, which you'll definitely need.)
[10/4/2014 12:39:09 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Thank you for the advice, Lady Teppen. We'll go speak with the surviving guard.
[10/4/2014 12:40:03 PM] Xamusel: Ionnia: "You are most welcome, Natsuki. As far as heavier clothing, that's possibly the best bet you can have right now."
[10/4/2014 12:40:27 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: We'll head to the Apothecary right away. And... thank you for the kind offer.
[10/4/2014 12:40:55 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: You're following her, I thought.)
[10/4/2014 12:41:08 PM] Enrico Martinelli: (OOC: Okay then)
[10/4/2014 12:42:10 PM] Xamusel: Ionnia: "You are most welcome, Zark." After a few moments, you arrive at the Apothecary.
[10/4/2014 12:43:06 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: Do we see the surviving caravan guard right now?
[10/4/2014 12:43:32 PM] Xamusel: No, he's currently inside the building, bedridden.
[10/4/2014 12:43:53 PM] Xamusel: Do you enter to see the full extent of the injuries?
[10/4/2014 12:44:09 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: Yes, I think I might help too.
[10/4/2014 12:45:04 PM] Xamusel: Very well... though, keep in mind that the village priest is having trouble with healing the guard, as the current state is the best he's at.
[10/4/2014 12:45:52 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: I see. Anyway, I'll go see him.
[10/4/2014 12:46:02 PM] Xamusel: Alright, Jenna.
[10/4/2014 12:48:32 PM | Edited 12:48:47 PM] Xamusel: Now, with everyone heading inside the Apothecary, you see a human of Ulfen descent, Yuln Oerstag, bandaged heavily and with some black coloration on the nose, fingers and toes, the hue from severe frostbite.
[10/4/2014 12:49:10 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: I kneel down to his side. Is he conscious?
[10/4/2014 12:50:30 PM] Xamusel: Yes, he is, though he simply chuckles mirthfully. "I'm not dying any time soon, lass," Yuln says. "I still have some fight left in me."
[10/4/2014 12:51:35 PM] Enrico Martinelli: "It is good that you are in high spirits, mister. But don't overexert yourself, please."
[10/4/2014 12:55:31 PM] Xamusel: "Much as I'd like to go against that, I know better," Yuln admits. "I'd go with you if I could, because my ancestors would ridicule my lack of valor for fleeing from an enemy instead of resisting to the bitter end, but... I've faced things that others in the Linnorm Kingdoms would falter against, though I think I managed to kill one of them before they took off with Lady Argentea."
[10/4/2014 12:56:56 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: "My friends and I would like to ask you a few questions about those foes, if you could answer those."
[10/4/2014 12:57:30 PM] Xamusel: Yuln nods to the best of his ability. "Aye, I can understand."
[10/4/2014 12:58:03 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: "First off, what sort of foes were you faced against?"
[10/4/2014 1:00:44 PM | Edited 1:01:26 PM] Xamusel: Yuln's face soured a little bit. "We thought they were simple bandits at first--outlaws who hide like wolves in the woods. They were no match for us. But then came the cold fey of the north. They appeared among us and the battle turned quickly. My people speak of the winter-touched all the time, but I've never expected to see any this far south!"
[10/4/2014 1:01:34 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: "The winter-touched? What did you hear about them?"
[10/4/2014 1:04:51 PM] Xamusel: Yuln: "The winter-touched are fey creatures who have sworn loyalty to the Winter Witches of Irrisen, those who stole our homes in the Winter War some 1500 years ago. Tiny sprites no taller than the length of a man's forearm. But don't let their short stature fool you. Legends say they have taken a sliver of ice into their hearts, and their touch bears the harsh bite of winter."
[10/4/2014 1:06:09 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: "This sounds bad... do you know where they have taken Lady Argentea, perhaps?"
[10/4/2014 1:08:31 PM] Xamusel: Yuln: "Back into the forest, back through the ice and snow. Beyond that, I don't know. I followed as far as I could, but the winter-touched were too many and too hard to fend off in the snow alone. I barely escaped, and rode out here to seek help."
[10/4/2014 1:10:07 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: "It's understandable. So... could it be that there is the Winter Witches' doing behind Lady Argentea's kidnapping?"
[10/4/2014 1:12:21 PM] Xamusel: Yuln: "Which Winter Witch do you mean? Of course, the winter-touched don't do anything without the leave of the one to place the ice in their hearts, so possibly... and much worse will follow because of it."
[10/4/2014 1:13:12 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: There's multiple people with the title of Winter Witch, by the way.)
[10/4/2014 1:14:30 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: "I... have no idea. I'm afraid I don't know much about the Winter Witches. But that is not the point. We must rescue Lady Argentea pronto. Since you have faced the winter-touched already, do you happen to know if they have weak points of sorts?"
[10/4/2014 1:16:28 PM] Xamusel: Yuln: "Cold iron and burning flames are what they're the weakest to, both because they burn the winter-touched, and they are weapons they fear."
[10/4/2014 1:18:12 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: "I understand. We will remember that should we face them."
[10/4/2014 1:18:53 PM] Xamusel: Yuln: "As a matter of fact, take my longsword, too... it's made of cold iron. Consider it a loaner." He gestures towards the blade in question.
[10/4/2014 1:20:46 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: "Thank you, Mr. Oerstag. I amm not a good swordswoman, but I have a friend who will surely put your blade to good use."
[10/4/2014 1:21:29 PM] Xamusel: Yuln: "Aye... I hope ye find Lady Argentea soon."
[10/4/2014 1:22:21 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: "Have a safe recovery. Rest assured we will do our best."
[10/4/2014 1:23:04 PM] Xamusel: Yuln: "Aye. I have faith in you."
[10/4/2014 1:23:13 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: I bow to the recovering warrior and head back to my comrades, to report what I've been told.
[10/4/2014 1:23:34 PM] Xamusel: Did you get the blade with you?
[10/4/2014 1:23:40 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: Yes, I did.
[10/4/2014 1:23:47 PM] Xamusel: Good.
[10/4/2014 1:24:02 PM] Xamusel: Now, which of you can equip longswords?
[10/4/2014 1:24:31 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: I'll be handing the sword to Dorothy. She'll be able to use it better.
[10/4/2014 1:24:50 PM] Xamusel: Very well.
[10/4/2014 1:25:20 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: Dorothy, this is the sword Mr. Oerstag entrusted to us. You'll be making a better use of it that any other of us.
[10/4/2014 1:26:22 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: I understand. I will need to thank Mr. Oerstag myself when I'll be handing his sword back to him.
[10/4/2014 1:27:06 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: For now, I can do nothing but try and be worthy of his generosity.
[10/4/2014 1:27:50 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: I think we know what we need now. We should purchase some winter clothing and be on our way.
[10/4/2014 1:28:24 PM] Xamusel: You have a solid idea with that, yes.
[10/4/2014 1:29:12 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Okay, where can we purchase some heavy clothing?
[10/4/2014 1:29:53 PM] Xamusel: You can purchase them near the village square.
[10/4/2014 1:30:04 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: We're going there right now.
[10/4/2014 1:30:29 PM] Xamusel: Alright.
[10/4/2014 1:32:07 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: Okay, we'll head to some place that sells heavy clothing, and we're getting six sets of snow clothes.
[10/4/2014 1:32:26 PM] Xamusel: That's a solid idea.
[10/4/2014 1:33:26 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: How much will a set of winter clothing be, for each of us?
[10/4/2014 1:34:19 PM] Xamusel: About 2 GP each, considering that they're out of season normally.
[10/4/2014 1:34:46 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: It's okay, we've got more than enough.
[10/4/2014 1:34:56 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: We'll take one set each then.
[10/4/2014 1:35:59 PM] Xamusel: Alright, that's good to hear.
[10/4/2014 1:36:57 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: After equipping ourselves with the heavy clothing, we start heading out for the place where Lady Argentea was taken.
[10/4/2014 1:37:17 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Time is of the essence here. We must not waste a second of it.
[10/4/2014 1:37:24 PM] Xamusel: I sure hope you got directions....
[10/4/2014 1:38:13 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: That's right, guys. We need to know where to head first. I think Lady Teppen would be our best bet, so we should ask her.
[10/4/2014 1:40:04 PM] Xamusel: At that moment, Lady Teppen (who's not even a noble, just a Commoner) appears before you, holding a roll of parchment. "Yuln Oerstag asked me to give this to you," she said. "He realized he forgot to give you directions on where to go."
[10/4/2014 1:41:23 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: "Thank you very much, that will help." I say as I take a look at the parchment in order to know the place where we should be heading.
[10/4/2014 1:42:57 PM] Xamusel: After handing over the parchment, Ionnia bows, saying, "May you have a safe journey on the way."
[10/4/2014 1:43:39 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: "Thank you. We will do our best to help."
[10/4/2014 1:44:11 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: I guess it is time for us to go. I'll look at the map and see where we should be heading.
[10/4/2014 1:45:38 PM] Xamusel: With that, you head down six miles south of the village, following the path to the Border Woods.
[10/4/2014 1:47:24 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: We're keeping our guard up and looking around at all times. Who knows what sort of dangers are lurking here around these woods...
[10/4/2014 1:47:48 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: What are we seeing now? Are we close to the place of the kidnapping?
[10/4/2014 1:47:55 PM] Xamusel: Near the forest, the temperature grows noticeably colder.
The road ahead is littered with debris and the corpses of slain
humans and horses. A carriage stands in the roadway, its
team of horses missing or cut free, while another overturned
carriage lies sprawled and broken next to the tree line. To the
south, more bodies have fallen around what appears to be a
statue of ice. A snowy trail leads deeper into the forest.
[10/4/2014 1:48:08 PM] Xamusel: In short? Yes, you arrived at the scene.
[10/4/2014 1:49:34 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: I'll go take a look at the carriage, but I'll keep at a couple meters' distance and do a Perception check to see if there is anything unusual.
[10/4/2014 1:50:05 PM] Xamusel: Which one? You mean the upright one, or the other?
[10/4/2014 1:50:30 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: The overturned one, I mean.
[10/4/2014 1:50:44 PM] Xamusel: Ah.
[10/4/2014 1:50:47 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: I'll do the same thing with the other.
[10/4/2014 1:51:06 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: I'll be standing guard in case something tries to ambush us.
[10/4/2014 1:51:40 PM] Xamusel: Natsuki, roll for Perception. Zark, do the same.
[10/4/2014 1:52:31 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: I rolled a 13+7=20
[10/4/2014 1:52:51 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: I got a natural 20+6=26
[10/4/2014 1:54:21 PM | Edited 1:54:54 PM] Xamusel: Natsuki, you see what remains of the handmaidens that were in that particular carriage, plus three sets of courtier's clothing worth a fair amount of GP.
[10/4/2014 1:56:12 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: I am still wary of getting closer. Wouldn't want there to be something dangerous. I'll be approaching carefully.
[10/4/2014 1:56:12 PM] Xamusel: Zark, you hear muffled movement from within the upright carraige and even see a slight hint of something in there... not a human something, though.
[10/4/2014 1:57:19 PM] Xamusel: Natsuki, relax, only the cadavers of the handmaidens remain in the overturned carriage.
[10/4/2014 1:57:44 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Alright then, I'll get closer.
[10/4/2014 1:58:00 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: Did I see anything in particular?
[10/4/2014 1:59:27 PM] Xamusel: You saw a hint of bloodied armor, Zark, as well as a part of a hairless head... with some bits of flesh decaying.
[10/4/2014 1:59:59 PM] Xamusel: However, before anything else happens, roll a Hide check (I think there's one).
[10/4/2014 2:00:41 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: I don't have ranks in Hide, but I am small-sized and have a +3 Dex modifier, so... does that count?
[10/4/2014 2:00:52 PM] Xamusel: It should.
[10/4/2014 2:01:18 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: I rolled an 11+3+whatever my Small size bonus is.
[10/4/2014 2:03:41 PM] Xamusel: The attempt to hide was admirable, but an opposed Spot check succeeded in finding you just as you were about to get out of sight.
[10/4/2014 2:04:27 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: Damn... I'll read my crossbow and step backwards. I think we've got some trouble here, guys!
[10/4/2014 2:04:51 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: I unsheathe my sword and run to Zork's side.
[10/4/2014 2:05:10 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: What's going on?
[10/4/2014 2:06:49 PM] Xamusel: As the group gathers together, the upright carriage opens up by force, revealing three zombies that are intent on devouring you as part of their original orders. A fight breaks out!
[10/4/2014 2:08:00 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: Zombies. Ugh. I hate zombies.
[10/4/2014 2:08:13 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: I'm ready. Let's cut these things to pieces!
[10/4/2014 2:08:57 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: Owankane, we'll hold the position. Everyone else, stay back and riddle them with quarrels!
[10/4/2014 2:09:29 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: Are the zombies upon us already, or do we have some time to hit them at a distance?
[10/4/2014 2:09:45 PM] Xamusel: The latter, actually.
[10/4/2014 2:10:20 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: Alright then. I'll see about striking them with my sling before they get close.
[10/4/2014 2:10:37 PM] Xamusel: Roll for initiative, first.
[10/4/2014 2:10:59 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: 18
[10/4/2014 2:11:15 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: 3+3=6
[10/4/2014 2:11:30 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: 10+3=13
[10/4/2014 2:11:47 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: 14+3=17
[10/4/2014 2:12:09 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: 13-1=12
[10/4/2014 2:12:29 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: 18+3=21
[10/4/2014 2:13:14 PM] Xamusel: Alright, the zombies go between Jenna and Owankane, with Soho going first.
[10/4/2014 2:13:37 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: I'll take aim at one of the zombies, and shoot with my crossbow.
[10/4/2014 2:13:54 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: Rolled 15+3=18
[10/4/2014 2:14:19 PM] Xamusel: You hit Zombie A. Roll for damage.
[10/4/2014 2:14:33 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: 5 points of damage
[10/4/2014 2:15:02 PM] Xamusel: Okay, Dorothy's turn next.
[10/4/2014 2:15:18 PM] Xamusel: Are you going to attack the same one?
[10/4/2014 2:16:15 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: No, I'll be acting now. I'll do the same thing.
[10/4/2014 2:17:05 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: I'll attack the same zombie who was hit. My roll is 14+1=15
[10/4/2014 2:17:28 PM] Xamusel: ...that's what I meant by my question.
[10/4/2014 2:17:33 PM] Xamusel: Anyway, still a hit.
[10/4/2014 2:17:51 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: I got a 6 for damage.
[10/4/2014 2:18:11 PM] Xamusel: Alright, then. Zark's turn is here.
[10/4/2014 2:18:33 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: Same thing as my comrades, and same opponent.
[10/4/2014 2:19:01 PM] Xamusel: Alright. What's the attack roll?
[10/4/2014 2:19:20 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: It's 10+5=15
[10/4/2014 2:20:39 PM] Xamusel: Hit... and the Zombie is destroyed, as it was at one HP left.
[10/4/2014 2:20:56 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: Good. That makes things a little bit easier.
[10/4/2014 2:21:06 PM] Xamusel: Yes, indeed.
[10/4/2014 2:21:24 PM] Xamusel: Natsuki, your turn.
[10/4/2014 2:21:52 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: I'll throw a shuriken at the next zombie.
[10/4/2014 2:22:09 PM] Xamusel: Alright. Attack roll?
[10/4/2014 2:22:43 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: 12+3=15, again.
[10/4/2014 2:23:03 PM] Xamusel: Hit. Roll for damage.
[10/4/2014 2:23:28 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Hm. Got a measly 1+1=2
[10/4/2014 2:23:45 PM] Xamusel: Still better than nothing.
[10/4/2014 2:23:48 PM] Xamusel: Jenna's turn.
[10/4/2014 2:24:37 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: I hold up my holy symbol and channel positive energy to attack the zombies..
[10/4/2014 2:25:17 PM] Xamusel: Alright. Roll to attack.
[10/4/2014 2:25:29 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: Wait, is that right?)
[10/4/2014 2:25:46 PM] Enrico Martinelli: (OOC: Let me check)
[10/4/2014 2:26:35 PM] Enrico Martinelli: (OOC: Channeling positive energy doesn't need an attack roll, but the zombies are entitled to a Will save to halve the damage)
[10/4/2014 2:27:06 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: Ah. Alright.)
[10/4/2014 2:27:22 PM] Xamusel: Alright... now that that's cleared up, roll for damage.
[10/4/2014 2:27:35 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: Okay... my damage roll is 4
[10/4/2014 2:28:38 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: Crap... don't remember how to handle Will saves.)
[10/4/2014 2:29:15 PM] Enrico Martinelli: (OOC: The DC for the Will save is 10 + half my cleric level + my Cha modifier)
[10/4/2014 2:29:41 PM] Enrico Martinelli: 12, in this case
[10/4/2014 2:29:50 PM] Enrico Martinelli: DC 12, I mean
[10/4/2014 2:29:54 PM] Xamusel: (OOC: Okay.)
[10/4/2014 2:30:28 PM] Xamusel: The Zombies take full damage from the channeling positive energy action.
[10/4/2014 2:30:39 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: Cool!
[10/4/2014 2:30:57 PM] Xamusel: Now, it's the Zombies' turn to act.
[10/4/2014 2:31:47 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Okay.
[10/4/2014 2:32:26 PM] Xamusel: Both Zombies move towards the party, though Zombie B attempts to throw the Shuriken back at Natsuki.
[10/4/2014 2:33:14 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Woah. Can it do that?
[10/4/2014 2:35:04 PM] Xamusel: Not as well as it could when alive.
[10/4/2014 2:35:44 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Okay, so now I guess I'm under attack.
[10/4/2014 2:36:11 PM] Xamusel: Yep.
[10/4/2014 2:37:07 PM] Enrico Martinelli: My AC is 15
[10/4/2014 2:37:11 PM] Xamusel: 15-4=11
[10/4/2014 2:37:16 PM] Xamusel: It missed.
[10/4/2014 2:37:24 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Good... ^^
[10/4/2014 2:38:11 PM] Xamusel: Zombie C doesn't get to do anything this turn. Owankane, you're up.
[10/4/2014 2:39:34 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: I'll try to hit Zombie B with my sling.
[10/4/2014 2:39:47 PM] Xamusel: Okay.
[10/4/2014 2:40:10 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: Attack roll is 3+4=7
[10/4/2014 2:40:21 PM] Xamusel: Ouch... you missed.
[10/4/2014 2:40:48 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: Oh well... better luck next time
[10/4/2014 2:41:07 PM] Xamusel: Yep.
[10/4/2014 2:41:15 PM] Xamusel: Reroll initiative, guys.
[10/4/2014 2:41:34 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: 16+3=19
[10/4/2014 2:41:54 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: 12+3=15
[10/4/2014 2:42:10 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: 7+3=10
[10/4/2014 2:42:25 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Jenna: 8-1=7
[10/4/2014 2:42:42 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: 17
[10/4/2014 2:42:59 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: 14+3=17
[10/4/2014 2:43:39 PM] Xamusel: So... on the rules of a tie in combat order among you guys, roll a d6 to see who goes first.
[10/4/2014 2:43:56 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: I rolled a 6
[10/4/2014 2:44:02 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Soho: I rolled a 4
[10/4/2014 2:44:09 PM] Xamusel: Yeah, Dorothy goes first.
[10/4/2014 2:44:19 PM] Xamusel: Natsuki, your turn.
[10/4/2014 2:44:41 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Can I run up to Zombie B and slash it with my shortsword?
[10/4/2014 2:44:53 PM] Xamusel: Yes, actually.
[10/4/2014 2:45:26 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Okay, I'll roll for attack... 15+3=18
[10/4/2014 2:45:37 PM] Xamusel: A hit!
[10/4/2014 2:45:45 PM] Xamusel: Roll for damage.
[10/4/2014 2:45:54 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Cool! Damage is 6+1=7
[10/4/2014 2:46:09 PM] Xamusel: Zombie B is killed.
[10/4/2014 2:46:15 PM] Xamusel: Dorothy's turn.
[10/4/2014 2:46:33 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Cool! Well, it was already dead, but I get the point. :)
[10/4/2014 2:47:05 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: Okay. I'll get up in the last zombie's face and try to strike it down with my sword.
[10/4/2014 2:47:28 PM] Xamusel: Roll for attack.
[10/4/2014 2:47:51 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: 9+5=14
[10/4/2014 2:48:00 PM] Xamusel: Hit.
[10/4/2014 2:48:04 PM] Xamusel: Roll for damage.
[10/4/2014 2:48:34 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: Damage is 7+4=11
[10/4/2014 2:49:13 PM] Xamusel: Downed for the count.
[10/4/2014 2:49:41 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Dorothy: Phew. Well, that went well.
[10/4/2014 2:49:51 PM] Xamusel: Congratulations! You each receive 100 XP for defeating the zombies.
[10/4/2014 2:50:20 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Cool! So, I guess the battle is over.
[10/4/2014 2:50:27 PM] Xamusel: Yep.
[10/4/2014 2:51:30 PM] Xamusel: Now that the zombie mess has been taken care of, do you want to get back to checking for items?
[10/4/2014 2:52:29 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Yes, and we would also want to give the fallen maids and guards a proper burial, if possible.
[10/4/2014 2:52:48 PM] Xamusel: That's a wise idea, actually.
[10/4/2014 2:52:59 PM] Xamusel: Do so, then.
[10/4/2014 2:53:28 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Owankane: Alright. Dorothy and I will get around to digging a few graves.
[10/4/2014 2:54:13 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Natsuki: Alright. I'll take the valuables.
[10/4/2014 2:56:23 PM] Enrico Martinelli: Zark: I'll go check the carriage where the zombies were. Maybe there's something there too.
--------
By the way, the reason why my friend seems to have a strange choice of name (I'm the one known as Xamusel) is because that was her brother's old Skype account, and she hadn't gotten around to changing it yet.
