"I say we start with the trees. I like trees better then rocks." Wysteria smiles pleasently, and seems to have forgotten all about her sandwich about halfway through.

Wysteria laughs. "Life is meant to be enjoyed! No matter how long you could live, your life can be taken anytime by mishap, illness, or combat. Enjoy it while it lasts, for life is never long enough. Dangerous just means take more care with it. Only cowards shy away from pleasure or excitement because of 'maybe's and 'possibly's. Besides, it's Kit's favorite pastime! And mine!"

Wysteria nods, "And I can fly us around to locate these scents quicker."

Kit claps cheerfully, "I love when we get to go flying!"

"Of course, we wouldn't be good teachers otherwise. How long till students come for the first semester?" Wysteria asks from the kitchen while she makes herself a sandwhich so big, one would wonder if it's held together with magic.

"As you'll soon discover, excitment means I'm hungry. To the dining hall!" And she heads to the dining hall without waiting to see what everyone else thinks about it.

Oops! That's what I get for getting a 12 hours each day job and trying to post all my games in 30 minutes when I get home. I meant "stretch" btw :)

"And here I figured, with four arms, you would be the always prepared type." She says in a playfully mocking fashion.

"As for the trouble brewing, well it'll be nice to get a little excitement in, I haven't had any since I started work on Kit." She her arms a bit like she's warming up for some exercise.

"Greetings, I have long ago forgot how to give in to fear, and many times of finding rewards at the end of fear have diminished such emotions." Wysteria does a mild but polite curtsy.

"And this here is Kit, my assistant." Kit floats down turning in a motion and bows.

"I will take that one. It would make a great and sizable workshop." Wysteria points at one of the towers, a simpler one with a balcony all around at each level.

I'm in the same boat as Apollos, no point in saying I'm waiting, it one of those odd points in a story where the only character that can really push the story forward isn't me.

I do think it is sometimes nice to continue forward and anyone who hasn't really posted can just be assumed to have caught up but just didn't interact with anyone, like the barbarian guy from The Gamers.

Faster pacing would be alright, as for the words of power, I personally find them easier unless I need to prepare spells for the day (which I try to avoid anyway). Though I do have a new character class concept I would like to try.

I also get the idea that somehow, Apollos and I are the only regular check in players. The others seem to check in far less regularly.

Also more players can also compensate some for slower pacing, because more people will equal more posts even without a daily posting requirement. I think that is one great advantage of PBP, it's much easier to handle larger groups.

Just let us know.

Wysteria leafs through the pages, waiting for more people to arrive or for the headmaster to elaborate.

Kit meanwhile, becomes a little angel again, and explores the area and the books, reading quick segments of a few that catch her interest.

You have english as well? Teusday nights? Writing a 1500 word contrast/compare?

It would be funny if you were, cause that's what I'm working on. Which is even funnier because art class has me writing an 8 page paper, which is bigger then my english homework.

Wyseria awakens first thing in the morning and before eating she does some exercises, stretching, and katas. The she grabs Kit from the hidely hole and toses her on the bed. "Do you have to be so rough?" Kit complains as she changes and finds her way to the desk where Wysteria has started eating.

"Of course I do! What kind of evil, insane master would be if I didn't?" Wysteria replies with a chuckle.

"An oxymoronic one of course!" Kit says, picking up the butterknife and tossing it around like a baton, until it clatters on the floor.

"Do try not to gouge the floors, they are new." Kit retreives the knife and puts it gently on the tray.

"Well I don't you want expelled by the headmaster guy, then I would have to leave too, cause you can't go anywhere without me to save you every other day!"

This bantering joyfully continues until Wysteria leaves to meet the headmaster in the library with Kit wrapped around her as a cloak.

Perhaps it is a good time to jump to the next morning?

After looking around the various rooms available, she picks one on the second floor with plenty of space and "L" shaped. She rearranges some of the furniture to her liking, does some checking around, paranoia style, then beds down for the night with Kit finding a good spot in a cabinet, with the door just slightly cracked open.

Wysteria shrugs, "I don't know of anyone else. So what was it that you had to attend to today anyway? What can you tell us about this vale?"

Wysteria looks at the available food, selects a glass of wine and then sits across from Rubedo. She puts her cape on the table where it suddenly collects itself and out from the folds if the cloth appears a head, hands, and wings. Now sitting on the table is small 1'3" redheaded angel.

Wysteria smiles, "This is Kit, my assisstant, and my best creation yet. So please don't squish her."

Kit looks around at the others, "Nice to meet you. And please don't sit on me, I might light your pants on fire if you do." She gets up and starts walking around looking at interesting things, including the other people in the room.

Wysteria continues while watching Kit, "I made her to assist me in my crafting endeavors, and to help teach the students here, after all you can never have enough eyes to keep an eye on kids. She can heal minor injuries if needed as well, though only a few times per day, so if you can't find me in time, she can keep them alive long enough for me to help. Though I hope no one gets hurt quite that badly." She looks rather sternly at the others during that last sentence, then continues watching Kit as though fasicinated by her creation.

"I come from the Clans of the Everfree Forest, Crimson Heart Clan specifically, not that clan affiliation matters much in the army. Where are you from?"

Wysteria is a full grown adult, though certainly not old, she appears about 30 in human terms.

I think the lower levels should stay about where they are, they are make sense and I can visualize those easiest, the upper levels were so akward in moving around them, that keeping track of where eveything was in relation to each other was weird, and I'm awesome at navigation. So I would make the top floors be where all the changes are, unless you had something specific in mind.

Just one player's minor opinion. :)

"And I am Wysteria Saviz, craftmaster and ex-major in the army. Nice to meet you all."

To my understanding, everyone including Nightengale, are in the main hall where Vicen is picking up his staff. Coming from the gardens we would see him coming down the main stair.

"Let's go this way and see what we can see." Wysteria goes down the central passage.

"I will be teaching various craftwork, and craftmagic. Though, why do you have four arms?"

She looks around at the sound, "That doesn't sound good."

She becomes much more alert and ready for something to happen.

Hunger is always a good reason.

Armor is real nice to have btw, it works in anti-magic zones and can go higher then +5. :)

Of course I do usually play combat capable casters, interesting since I'm actually a crafting sensei here. Appearently she gets to field test her creations often. (Edit:)Kinda weird though, trying to get the whip feats to make the whip have AOOs yet need also to get more of the creation feats, hard choices.

Question, how does that fit in with the 62Kgp from WBL?

Is this only three magic items, a few mundane items and nothing else? (This would result in only about 35.1Kgp worth of stuff and might require a little rearrangement on my part so I'm clarifying)

So, let me guess someone else is also going to go for black, white, and red, for their staff. Almost made a newspaper joke, but thought better of it.

Edit: Oh! if we all get black, white, and red, then we could be the newspaper gang!

(No that wasn't the joke I originally skipped out on)

Wysteria comes back into the main hall figuring it unlikely the kitchen would be past the machine shop.

"Ah! I figured I wasn't the only one arriving today. You can call me Ms. Saviz. Who are you? I'm in search of the kitchen, care to join?"

Gee..I've never seen someone freakout about an unseen servent before. You're not from around here, are you?

:)

Nice thing about the castle being already built, I already know where everything is!

Wysteria walks up to the door and reads the notice, "Hmm, It's addressed in the plural, I must not be the only one arriving today."

She walks over to the staves and looks them over. After a moment she grabs one that is all black with white highlights and simple geometric decoration, save for a few large deep crimson rubies. "Doesn't look like one's been taken yet, I must be the first. Unless..." She shrugs, then looks around for the kitchen. Starting off to the right of the hall, she quickly finds herself in storeroom.
