Female Human Fighter

Hmmmm...since this is my first PBP I would like to keep it going. I will try to get the DM back on soon.

Female Human Fighter

School paper work is ew.

Wulfie will throw the impromptu weapon at nearest undead.
1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 5 - 4 = 15
1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Female Human Fighter

Hmmm...I don't have a ranged or reach weapon...I will have to fix that next time we are in town.

Okay, I have an idea, but I need DM decision on it. I have a grappling hook, how much damage would that do if I threw it at the skeleton? I know I get -4 to hit for being an improvised weapon. Then secondly, say I manage to hook them with it, being as they are skeletons, would I be able to do damage if it was attached to a rope or something and I yanked back real hard?

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie steps up to the nearest foe.
Heavy mace: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
And fail. :/

Hmmm...nice. I have seen a few drinking games in the campaigns I have played, I might reference these ideas. My favourite, taking a high enough level monk to a drinking contest. Alcohol = poison and monk = immune to poison. =D

This is something I seem to run into...Say I want to build something and it needs 100 pounds of iron to make. So I said, well, it is an option to make it out of darkwoood. Well how much would 100 pounds of darkwood cost? Ummm...no data present. Seriously? Okay, I know it makes the math harder, but seriously, a sword is like 8 pounds, I find it easier to multiply 8 by say 250 and get 2000. That makes MUCH more sense to me. Then I could take that and apply it to my two hander which is 16 pounds, and get 4000. I know it costs more, but it makes much more sense.

This is all good an well till I realize that 100 pounds of iron is bigger than a 100 pounds of adamantine. Anyone got a density of that?

Heh, I had this same realization today. We were playing and came Skull Crossing and I was amazed the flood gates still worked. 'Corse I am used to these questions of time and scale. I am building my own world/setting...and its age makes the Thessalonians look young. However, that world has some serious differences in how time passes and stuff.
As for the preservation thing, I might explain it as magic was used to transmute common elements, (stone, wood, leather, fish), to be more resilient to erosion, then dissipate with in a few days or months leaving a non-magical material that is its self resistant. Think of it as magicly accelerated petrification. You can't detect it because it isn't magical any more, and you can't research it, because it doesn't have anything to research. Seeing as how the microscope hasn't been invented yet.

OH! I like the idea of the Thessalonians being like Atlantis. (YAY! SGA!) That in the whole downfall thing a lot of the knowledge was lost. This remind you of the Romans and the dark age? Maybe the Thessalonians didn't all die off, maybe they left in space ships? Seriously, that would be cool. Weird, but cool. Okay, maybe they just made a pocket plane and are living there happily. That was something my group seriously thought of when the age of worms was about to occur.

Female Human Fighter

Undaunted by Wolfie and Roran's epic failure, she swings again.
Heavy mace: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 WHOO!
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Darn
Critical damage: 2d8 + 12 ⇒ (7, 7) + 12 = 26

Female Human Fighter

Heh, steel mug, epic, not just for drinking people under the table anymore. I remember the days of 3.5 where a prestige class of monks gained proficiency in improvised weapons.

Wulfie swings her mace at the next one, moving if necessary.

Heavy mace: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 (ouch)
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie will attack nearest.
Heavy Mace Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Female Human Fighter

Grr...I will bother Relayer about checking this.

I need to cast the spells listed every day I am working on it? Yuck...I could see how that could make it more expensive to to make it than buy it. (I have to buy scrolls of spells I don't have...being a sorcerer and all.)
I realize that it should still be hard to make/get a hold of magical items, but it just seems to me to take alot of the fun out of making things. (I still want that persistent collaspable log cabin/tower that I can just pack up and throw in my backpack.)

Maybe some one could comment on this, I have a character that is a sorc/favs whom is trying to do a bit of crafting. I am looking to see if there is anything that lowers the cost. (Besides that wonderful trait hedge magician.) Here is a thought that bothers me a bit. I still have to burn gold to enchant something, but where is that gold going? Is it possible I sacrifice spells each day over a period of time instead. Any one heard of anything like this?

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie pulls her heavy mace, I am assuming I don't have that much clearance in here right, and swings at nearest enemy. Moving if necessary.
Attack:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage:1d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 (using it two handed.)

Female Human Fighter

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

How much clearance does the room/hallway have?

Welcome back Relayer.

Female Human Fighter

[ooc] Think I should probably say my bit here even though I don't have my character completely done.[ooc]

A woman in deep blue armour walks up the group and sits down facing them. She takes a rather long sword off her back and sits against the table.
"I assume you are the group that was adventuring with my sister Wulfie. She asked me to come here and inform you all that she took up an apprenticeship with a local enchanter and cannot continue to work with you. I offer my services to you. I am Wulfie the Second...yeah, we have rather eccentric parents...but if you will have me I am an experienced fighter and spell blade in training."

Female Human Fighter

True...we do need a cleric. Out of curiousity whom is still here? I don't mind playing two chacters if we need some more help. (I usually end up playing two characters in my groups. (Three if you count the NPC that is journeying with my group right now.))

Female Human Fighter

I am a bit confused as to what round we are on...if it is greater than round two I will throw a dager at the nearest skeleton I can see.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 111d4 ⇒ 4 (+1 dagger)

Then use mage hand to bring it back to me.

Female Human Fighter

Good idea.

If this is round one: Mage Hand
If this is round two: Magic Weapon
If this is round three: Throw dagger.
If this is round four or greater: Use mage hand to pull dagger back to my hand then throw it again.

That should cover me over this next week. Finals, finals, finals...ick.

Female Human Fighter

Well...poke things here a bit. When it is wulfie's turn she will cast mage hand.

Female Human Fighter

Ummm...yeah...if requested I will cast magic weapon on some one's weapon.

Female Human Fighter

Speaking of real life. x_x I finally got the map for the second battle on the site. here

Female Human Fighter

Ouch, bottom of the line up.

If any one feels the need for a +1 weapon Wulfie can cast two more level one spells for today.

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie will ofcorse offer magic weapon on peoples' weapons if they ask.

Can I request a map to the room with the skeliti?

Female Human Fighter

At hearing the explotion, Wulfie makes a loud, "eeeeeeeeep", and hides behind the nearest person.

Female Human Fighter

Nothing but bones in current room?

"Odd...what are these doing here?"

Female Human Fighter

LAWL! Okay, this will be my last post on this subject, I promise. Channel Energy is of CORSE going to do one of heal or damage. Otherwise it would be counter productive. You want to be healed by it then damaged.

Female Human Fighter

From the way or is commonly used, yes you are very right...the way that it is formally defined, A or B, A can be true, be can be true and A and B can be true. *shrug* Personally I think it should heal living and harm undead at the same time. BUT, like I said, it is up to Relayer.

Female Human Fighter

Odd, I thought it did both healing to living and damage to undead. *Reads description* Hmmm...I could go either way on that one. (I hate the common usage of "or", it is so ambiguous.) Up to the Dm.

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie will cast magic weapon on the nearest person with a weapon.

Female Human Fighter

The map for the first battle is up on the site. here

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie will follow with detect magic active. (Nothing better to do.)

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie walks up to the teleporter and looks at it briefly.
"Cool...so like, mr. Ghosty, did you make many magical items in your day?"

Spoiler:
Wulfie being a bit of a magical item creation nut.

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie comes back to attention. "You are the former owner right? Geeze...the current owner said your name once...I seem to have forgotten it."

Female Human Fighter

Sorry, I will cut the psychosis back a bit. Point is, the character really has nothing to add at the moment and thanks to pathfinder making cantrips unlimited she can cast Presidigitation as many times as she wants.

Female Human Fighter

"COOL! The dead person is talking!" Wulfie goes back to cleaning up the room.

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie jumps back at seeing the dead bodies...then starts cleaning dust and making the bodies smell fresh and flowery.
"Poor people, at least their earthly remains will smell nice."

Doing my best to not end "..." statements with a \n

Female Human Fighter

While are are moving slowly looking for traps Wulfie uses prestidigitation to clean up all the dust.

Female Human Fighter

"Ammian or Darius D'Angelus, if we get into a fight, at least one of you wait for me to cast a spell. I have a bit of a weapon trick for you."

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie casts Prestidigitation and starts cleaning up the dust.

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie didn't aid, she watched. Yeah no, she is a weakling...but a cute one.

Is the area behind the door dirty?

Female Human Fighter

Yes, Jane is there, but I will add a last name.

Female Human Fighter

Fine by me, so long as you don't use your dice. :P

Added Durion. This is why I need a list in the first place. I don't know whom is in the party.

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie watches, being the wimpy little she is...

Pretending to make a str check: 1d20 ⇒ 10 Ouch, I beat the fighter.

Female Human Fighter

"HELP ME...help me? What is that supposed to mean..."

Sorry, was in class when I wrote the last post.

Female Human Fighter

Intelligence check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
"OH! HE IS SAYING...what ever was in that spoiler."

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie aproaches the man.
"Calm down, everything will be alright."
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 (I say bluff because she doesn't know.)
"Now put down the sword before some one gets hurt."

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie attempts to listen: 1d20 ⇒ 11 and probably fails.

Female Human Fighter

If Wulfie is indeed on the other side she takes the time to cast a spell then...

Spoiler:
TURNS INTO A HIDEOUS GHOSTLY FIGURE!

Then returns to normal.

"I could see how people could fake a ghost in these things..."

Female Human Fighter

Wulfie puzzles at the secret rooms and draws a few characters in the dust.
