The PC's are sent by Venture Captain Sheila Hiedmarch to try and contact Natalya. If they go back to her (Sheila), she has researched the shards and is aware of their possible weaknesses, including the mental effects. She has also theorized about placing Ioun stones in them to ameliorate those weaknesses. She actually provides at least the first Ioun stone.

I thought as much, but what page is this stated on?

I new to the forums and i decided to GM the module for Shattered Star.
I read up to where the players "may" get the Shard of Pride if the Goblin Snake didn't escape with it. It say in the note about,"Natalya's fate" That the curse ends once the Ioun stone that goes to it is inserted. Though no where does it say when or how the players receive the ioun stones.

I just wonder if i missed something and someone can help point me in the right direction. Otherwise I'll have to improvise a location for each of them or just give them the stone's once the paradox box is opened. So any help with this would be great.
