Hello everyone, me and a friend are trying to figure out if the Juju Oracle can make Juju Zombies using the animate dead spell if they have the mystery Spirit Vessels as stated here.
Spirit Vessels (Su): You can channel wendo spirits into lifeless bodies, reanimating them to aid you. When using the animate dead spell, you can control 6 HD worth of undead creatures per caster level rather than 4 HD. In addition, any zombies or juju zombies you create using animate dead, create undead, or similar spells possess maximum hit points.
We're thinking that the Create Undead spell is the only spell that allows a Juju Zombie to be created. But here you have "In addition, any zombies or juju zombies you create using animate dead, create undead, or similar spells possess maximum hit points." or more specifically "... juju zombies you create using animate dead,..."
So it seems like you can use Animate Dead to create a juju zombie.

Note that it doesn't say anything about not using create undead for Juju Zombies, however, http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/c/create-undead Create Undead has the Juju Zombie listed in its table. It also says "A much more potent spell than animate dead, this evil spell allows you to infuse a dead body with negative energy to create more powerful sorts of undead: ghouls, ghasts, mummies, and mohrgs. The type or types of undead you can create are based on your caster level, as shown on the table below."
So it's a stronger version of animate dead, as the spell suggest, and it can create a stronger version of a juju zombie, I assume. So with that, can animate dead still create Juju Zombies that are "less powerful" than the one listed on the Create Undead spell table?
