I'm running the same thing I think it's a great starting point for new players.Use your imagination,have them explore the vale.Maybe some fey creatures roam the area,or they stumble upon the crag it'self and decide to explore the bottom reaches of it???? I'm going to us the bat creatures from the 3.5 adventure....and see how my players react to it plus the area in the mountains is dwarven country according to the realm book...
