Vuk stares at the statues for a moment, "Does anyone know a prayer or blessing to the elvish gods? Something about guidance or a great hunter perhaps."


Vuk gathers up his gear, grabbing Roh-kai's as well. "Let us make haste then. The longer we wait here, the more likely it is one of those creatures will find us."


Vuk peers into the shaft and nods. "Perhaps it would be best for me to go down last. That way I could cover our rear."


Turning his attention away from the woods and back to the group, "Perhaps Roh-Kai should just get to the bottom of the ladder first to make sure that it's safe without revealing himself. If there's room down there, I don't see any reason that we should all not go."


Vuk awakens refreshed.

Ah, that tingling feeling in my arm is gone now. What a difference a good rest makes.

He sits back as he watches Xenarchy examine the pillar.

"Perhaps it's a warning. Something must have driven off the previous inhabitants."


Vuk inspects the nearest building remains. "I agree with camping for the night before heading on. Based on our earlier encounter, I would like to have a wall or two to our backs. Perhaps one of these old buildings can provide shelter, or at least cover a side."

I hope that one of those 'creatures' don't show up again. It was awfully disturbing.


Going to wing it here, but based on what I've heard so far...

"I believe Roh-Kai may be right. Perhaps we should just give it a proper burial."

I hope none of those creatures come back again. And I sure hope this means we can rest soon.

Vuk looks back to one of the magically inclined people for some guidance.


Vuk heads back to the clearing with the stump. He searches carefully around the area.

Perception:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19


"Well, we might as well start searching for it."

Vuk starts looks in the surrounding area for it a severed, non-crystal, skull.

Vuk leaps back at the site of the remains. "Who.. would do something like this!?" He glances at Garesh and the father, "Should.. we bury it.. or something?"


Vuk reaches into the water and pulls out the sack, untieing it from the rock lays it on the ground in front of him.


"I'm not sure what just happened, but I'm glad that it's gone." Vuk crouches down at the edge of the water and tries to examine the sack beneath the water without touching it. "Does anyone know if it's safe to pull this out, our should we leave it alone?"


Cursed poison still lingering in the system!

Vuk draws his greatsword and moves in to attack. "You are an abomination to nature and must die!"

Damage:2d6 + 8 ⇒ (2, 4) + 8 = 14

Vuk falls in behind Xen and Garesh, a look of puzzlement on his face.


"Onward then." Vuk leads the group a good distance from the haunt while looking for another spot to camp.


Vuk leaps to his feet as he draws his sword. "Who or what is attacking you?!"

He scans the area, looking for anything that could pose a threat.

"This looks like a good place to camp, though it appears that it may have been used before by others."

I'd prefer to make camp. Would like to sleep off this poison.


"I say we carry on the way we are for now then. I can keep an eye out for signs of ancient construction."


Vuk holds the open wound on his arm, "I have a small bite, but I feel rather weak."

Current HP: 10/11; Current str: 17/18

Turning to Xen, "I may not be able to show you where it is, but I could get us there as quickly as possible if someone was to give me a direction."

Vuk attempts to dismember the rest of the spider.

shoot, forgot that my to-hit should have been 2 lower due to the web


Vuk reals at the poison flowing through him as he draws his sword and swings at the spider next to him.

Attack:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Damage:2d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 1) + 7 = 12

And technically Garesh and I should make our saves on our turn, but I'll take two passes :)

Same here. Would need to take a double move to reach the same location. No attack, but no AC penalty.


Damn, doubt a 9 will hit. If it does, then I'll need to roll my cleave.


Vuk draws hus greatsword as he moves in to dispatch both boars.

Move to C6 and use power attack and cleave.

We really wanted to go before the boars :)

Vuk nods in agreement, "Sounds like it's settled then. Let me clear a path around them."

Vuk will create a make shift path around the boars, giving them plenty of space. He'll clear just enough so that it's walkable and just far enough out of the boars territory.


Vuk holds up his hand to alert everyone to stop. Walking back to the group he whispers, "Pair of boars in the brush up ahead. We can either attempt to go around them and hope they aren't hungry or grab ourselves dinner for tonight."

"We should be able to follow this trail for a ways. I did see a large hill about two days journey. Perhaps that is what you are looking for. I could travel slightly ahead of everyone, but still within eyesight if you like."

Vuk grins slightly at Xenarchy's question, "I can deal with predators much better than I can with people."


Using a rope for support, Vuk climbs to the top of one of the near by trees. Can't fail climb with rope

Vuk will climb down after scouting the area. "It looks like there's several game trails heading west. I know I saw some deer tracks and perhaps some bear tracks as well. If we follow those, we should be able to move quicker, however locals could be keeping an eye out on those trails."


Are these trees sturdy enough to climb to the top of one?


"I can start looking for a good place to hide the canoes while you start working on translating those scripts."

Vuk climbs back into the canoe and rows out to the others. "Well then, let's head up river a few miles before making camp. Don't want to be anywhere near these guys when they find their sentry missing." He paddles out to the middle of the river and continues on course.
