Vors Falchen's page

Peasant-born in Brookside, Vors has looked forward to few options in life beyond working hard and living honorably among his fellow Rostlanders. When he came of age, Vors entered into service with the local army, rising to the rank of sergeant.

Over twenty years later, Vors has retired from the army, and brought his family back home to Brookside. He hung up his halberd and wrapped his scale mail in an oil cloth, hoping to never need them again, and instead took up the plow, the hoe, and the straw hat, diving into farming with the same intensity he pursued soldiering.

His wife, Reinala, is his best friend. His eldest son, Kelian, is learning everything he can from his father with respect to to farming. Two daughters, Kharia and Jael, and a younger son, Vargos, are in their mid to early teens, and Reinala has her hands full with keeping them busy before they run away from sheer boredom at small-town life.

Vors knows that he can be somewhat large and imposing. His good common sense keeps him from being brutish or nasty due to his size, and tends to favor careful observation over snap judgments. However, when he needs to throw his full force of experience behind his words, he's very skilled at doing so.

Vors stands just over six feet tall (though he stoops sometimes now), with broad shoulders and silver wings in his black hair. He looked quite used to wearing his scale armor when he got it out, and carried the halberd with well-practiced ease.

Now, after the orc attack, he stands a bit straighter, though his manner has gotten a bit harder. He's having a hard time imagining that the red dragonscaled breastplate he's wearing is likely worth more than his whole farm, and hopes desperately that he'll never have to use it.

His clothes are plain but well maintained, and when his gauntlets are off you see a silver band on the ring finger of his left hand.
