I would also vote Carrion Crown. We started running Carrion Crown a few years back, and after several sessions we learned that we would soon be losing one of our regular players. Being a group of four (one DM and three players), losing a player meant that we would either need to drastically alter the challenge rating of the rest of the campaign, or start something new that was more appropriate difficulty for a two player party. We were just starting the third book, so I followed a very similar path to what Kalindlara outlined above and ended the campaign after book 3. We were able to finish the abbreviated campaign in the little time that we had left, and the party seemed to enjoy the ending. Cheers and good luck.
Once, I played a flind gnoll ranger who killed a goblin guard by throwing another (deceased) goblin into him. We (my bugbear partner and I) were trying to bluff our way into an underground goblin town by claiming the dead goblin I had slung over my shoulder needed healing. The guard didn't fall for it, but he fell when I threw his deceased brethren at his head and crushed his skull. This doesn't help at all as far as rules go. I just like telling that story.
I feel like it can be a very good film that might be able to tell an old/new story in that medium. I just hope people give it a chance. I would love to see a trilogy or more films telling the complete story, but obviously this first film will have to do well for that to happen. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing The Dark Tower and the IT remake. Big year for Mr. King.
It's an old hat, but I have really enjoyed starting a few of my campaigns off with the old bar room brawl. It is a tried and true way to bring the PCs together, gives a chance for different classes to explore their tactics in a variety of ways (fist-fighting, diplomacy, intimidate, low-level crowd control spells, etc.), and has a low chance of killing the party as the damage should be non-lethal unless the PCs really escalate things. Plus it gives a plethora of avenues to follow as far as campaign story.
I received an email on November 1st notifying me that Paizo Order #4121834 (which should just be Dreams of the Yellow King) shipped. However, today there is still no tracking information available, and my product has not been delivered. I was wonder if this had indeed shipped, or if there is something holding up the order. Thank you.
Hello. I just wanted to start a thread to check the status of my order 3337443, placed on November 1st as part of the Great Golem Sale. The order has been in the pending stage since Nov. 1st. I understand that Paizo has had some delays due to the volume of orders placed in recent weeks. I just wanted to check to make sure that more order is still being processed and that I will receive it eventually. Thank you very much for all your hard work. |
