So, I have always wondered why the Elves never crafted a single handed weapon like the Aldori Dueling Sword since they are very Dex focused and benefit from Weapon Finesse well. Then a friend of mine said "just use a Small Elven Curve Blade". So, I have to ask, would this work? Would that then be a one-handed sword with all the Elven curve Blade benefits, save that it does 1D8 base Damage?

Can you use the Crossblooded and Wildblooded Sorcerer Archetypes together? It seems like you can, but a little clarification would be good. Thanks!

Hello all, and thanks for taking the time to read this. I am currently working on a College project and could use some help from the community. Just take a few moments to take my minor survey here and answer a few questions. And thanks in advance!

1. Are you familiar with the American Electoral Process for President of the United States?

2. Do you know what the Electoral College is?

3. Do you know what the term Popular Vote is?

4. Have you ever voted in a Presidential election?

5. Do you feel your vote mattered?

6. Do you think the Electoral process is a fair one?

Please cancel my Adventure Path subscription. I have had a lay-off in the family and need to back off for a bit. Thank you!

Does the Magical Knack Talent just add to Caster Levels, or does it add extra Spells / Day as well ?

OK, upon reading the War Domain's Ability Battle Rage, it states that the Cleric can put it on any character as a Standard Action. Does this include the Cleric himself ? I assume so, as it doesn't say otherwise, but just need a little clarification. Thanks !

OK, so I hear there is going to be a Templar Class, and it has been hinted at that there will be a 20 Level Base Blackguard class as well. The Templar, for those who haven't heard, is the catch-all Holy Warrior for the other alignments, so in theory we will have 3 full classes - Paladin, Blackguard-esque, and Templar. My question is, what resource are these two other Holy Warriors supposed to come out in ? If I'm not mistaken the 6 new Base classes in the Advanced Player's Guide have already been established. So, any news where and when these classes are to show up ?

OK, this is something of a Rant, but I'm a little miffed, to say the least. It turns out the only store doing Free RPG Day around me was a store called the Complete Strategist. My normal store, Cyborg One, which is fantastic btw, wasn't doing it this year, so I drove all the way out to King of Prussia PA to get the free Paizo Beastiary, and when I got there, the clerk made me roll a D20 and gave me a random book. When I asked him about the Beastiary, he said they were doing it random this year and that was it. Seriously ? So now someone with no interest in this book will get it and either get rid of it or throw it away, and I have no recourse. As an aside, someone else came in, and he got a free Die 6. One Die, not a set, one Die. What gives ? Arghhhhh......

Sighs. Anyhow, Despite my disappointment, I love Paizo and I'm seriously looking forward to the Pathfinder RPG. It looks great and my group can't wait to try it out.

Sorry for the Rant.

I know this was given as an early download, but there wasn't a hard copy in the envelope with PF # 19. Should a print copy of the Player's Guide have come with my order ?

I have always loved the idea of a Fighter / Mage type character, but was left a little flat with the Eldritch Knight in 3.5. Paizo has done a great job in revitializing it, but it still has too many dead levels. On another thread, a poster Majuba suggested these new requirements to enter the Prestige Class :

Base Attack Bonus : +4
Spells : Must be able to Cast 2nd Level Arcane Spells
Special : Must be proficient with All Martial Weapons

I think these requirements are much better, allowing a fighter 3 / Wizard 3 or sorcerer 4 progression to qualify.

Now, as for the dead levels, here are my suggestions :

Arcane Aegis ( Su ) : At 2nd Level, any time the Eldritch Knight casts an Abjuration Spell that grants an Armor or Shield Bonus to AC, he can increase the value of the Bonus by +1. This Bonus increases every 2 Levels ( +2 at 4th Level, +3 at 6th Level, +4 at 8th Level and finally +5 at 10th Level. ).

Arcane Smite : At 4th Level, an Eldritch Knight can use a Standard Action to cast any Touch Spell he knows and can deliver the Spell through his weapon with a melee attack. Casting a Spell in this manner does not provoke an Attack of Opportunity. The Spell must have a Casting Time of 1 Standard Action or less. If the melee attack is successful, the attack deals Damage normally, then the effect of the Spell is resolved. Doing so discharges the Spell at the end of the Round, in the case of a Touch Spell that would otherwise last longer than 1 Round.

Extended Aegis ( Su ) : At 6th Level, the Eldritch Knight doubles the Duration of any Abjuration Spell that grants an Armor or Shield Bonus to AC, as if he applied the Extend Spell Metamagic Feat to them ( but without any change in Level or Casting time ).

Swift Aegis ( Su ) : Beginning at 8th Level, the Eldritch Knight can cast any Abjuration Spell that grants an Armor or Shield Bonus to AC as a Swift Action, as if he had applied the Quicken Spell Metamagic Feat to them ( but without any change in level ). The Maximum Level of Spell you can Quicken in this way is equal to ½ your Class Level
( Rounded up ).

This leaves only 2 dead levels and allows the eldritch Knight much needed armor capabilities in the form of Improved Mage Armor and Shield type Spells, and one good offensive ability in the Arcane Smite.

What do you all think ?

Sorry about the Table, I just couldn't get it right.....
