Could you get a friend to buy them and reimburse them?

That is some damning stuff from Sean Reynolds, but the signs have been there for a while even before the events in August.

I guess managers/owners who abuse their power and don't respect their workers hire people like themselves for the other management positions. To me this reads like a company producing RPGs and seeming to occupy one of the very few inclusive spaces in the TTRPG industry which was actually the opposite in the way it treated its employees. As if that whole persona was a lie and mask has been ripped off.

I have supported Paizo since almost day one because they seemed to be decent people, I don't think I am alone in this. I would add that I am a firm believer that you can treat your employees well, pay them a decent salary and still make money. Your best employees will stay, less staff turnover, people feel appreciated rather than exploited because they are desperate to work on and create in the RPG industry, and they will do their best work in that environment.

I honestly don't know what I am going to do next, stop buying Paizo products, move on, or what. I guess just watch and be guided by what is coming from the union.

I have supported Paizo and their games since they lost the Dragon gig, I was a subscriber at the start as I wanted to do what I could to help them get going and succeed.

I own an awful lot of their product as actual books or more recently pdfs, I strangely (I live in the UK) know a lot of the developers, writers and editors and management by sight from many twitch and youtube streams.

I have admired the inclusiveness of the content, role-players have struck me over the 40 years I have been playing as an oddly reactionary bunch, considering how we were marginalised as nerds and geeks (which wasn't a positive term at the time) in the past. I have enjoyed the diversity of the characters in the adventure paths and setting even if I am a middle aged straight white guy. I truly believe Paizo has some of the best ttrpg developers, editors and writers in the business and I hope management realise what their greatest asset is (my experience with businesses is that isn't always the case).
So Paizo, don't ruin the fun, do the right thing, Recognise United Paizo Workers, it really is the only sensible option, and, as I said, it is the right thing to do. Ask yourselves why they felt the need to do this, and why I am writing this....and to the people who work on the games I love, thankyou.

I am trying to get my head around how the Staff Nexus works with a new Staff.
1st level my wizard has her first staff:
Cantrip: Ray of Frost
1st Level: Magic missile
To prepare my wizard needs to sacrifice a 1st level spell slot, to give her 1 charge.

Later wizard acquires an Animal Staff
Cantrip: Know Direction
1st Level: Summon Animal, Magic Fang

So, during preparation: sacrifice a 1st level slot gives her 1 charge for original spells.
Automatically gets 1 charge for Animal Staff and can sacrifice another 1st level slot to get another charge.
So she could have 3 charges to cast what off this staff?
1 Charge to only use summon animal?
3 Charges to cast any of the spells?

Guidance appreciated

You can gain access to those three specific weapons by being a Cleric or Champion whose deity has them as a favored weapon.

In general, though, permission from the GM would be the path. That said: Uncommon should probably be treated as reasonably available in many cases. Uncommon things are around. They just require a bit of effort to get.

Thought so, thanks

I may have missed something, and there is always GM fiat, but how does a PC gain access to uncommon weapons with no Race Trait or Region connection? The Unconventional Weaponry Human Ancestry feat doesn't seem to cover the Spiked Chain, Kukri and Sawtooth Sabre. So is it just down to the GM and a good background reason?

I will be starting this in feband have high hopes, will post links to the ongoing story
