Appearance:
There are few Kobolds as distinctive looking as Vaux. His ‘natural’ colour, for lack of a better word, is Bronze, his scales a metallic reddish brown. And yet that’s not all. Patches of Vaux’s scales are far to shining to be called anything less than ‘golden’. Oddly, these scales seems to change location. No one’s ever seen it happen, but some swear it happens a lot. These golden scales even Vaux takes on the attributes of other dragons.

As with most Bronze dragons Vaux a long frill on his head that runs down his spine rather than horns and behind his very heavy, powerful jaws. Vaux is not especially impressive physically, sharing the longer, lither body of most Kobolds. His shoulders are thin and he only stands at 3ft8. This does nothing to stop the swagger and confidence in his stride of his copper-flecked amber eyes.

Vaux prefers to wear his armour unless something dictates otherwise, and wears a long tunic otherwise. His clawed feet don’t do shoes very well, so he doesn’t bother - scales don’t care anyway - and the jewellery, for lack of a better term, that he wears tend to be polished bone, wood and stone. Vaux refuses to wear any metal unless he absolutely must.

Personality:
Proud is probably Vaux’s defining trait. He draws a great deal of his strength and tenacity from his pride in himself, but while he does, often, allow this pride to push through it only takes a reminder that he isn’t invincible to make him, moderately, more cautious. When full of himself he is almost impossible to scare.

Still, his pride doesn’t make Vaux think he is better than others. He’s simply proud of what he is and what he’s done and fully expects and assumes others should have an equal pride in themselves. He’s surprisingly adept at getting on with others and is reasonably charming, although if he needs to bare his fangs he can do that too.

Curious and brave do not go that well together, but so far Vaux has managed to not die. Teamwork is an important facet of this. Vaux is smart enough to know he isn’t the best judge of what can be done. As a dragon Vaux is up to any challenge, but occasionally may need to withdraw because his fellows are not dragons. This cannot be helped. Obviously. Especially if Vaux needs a limb reattached.

Backstory:
Vaux is uncommon among the Order in many ways, but it starts with being born. He was born to a nameless Kobold clan outside of their territory, and it was clear from his birth that he was special. Or a freak, if you ask someone other than Vaux. A metallic dragon born to a clan of chromatic kobolds was one thing. But one with two metallic colours? That was certainly not common.

Needless to say Vaux’s place in the tribe was...not favourable. But what did the young Vaux care? He was the most powerful of the hatchlings - faster, stronger, smarter than all others. He was the most powerful when he became a young warrior, disdaining the spears and swords and traps of his kin and fighting with claw and tooth and tail. When the goblins came Vaux alone stood, his scales taking on a crimson hue as they hurled there fires.

And...nothing.

The tribe survived in a large part because Vaux stood, but he was given no credit, no praise. No reward. Not even a thank you. Disdain was his reward and spite his thanks. Unfortunately for his tribe, Vaux was not one to suffer quietly. If he wasn’t wanted, then why should he stay? Vaux was powerful. Vaux was dangerous. And there were other places where Vaux would be wanted, and that was where Vaux would be. Screw this tribe, screw this place, and screw them too.

Vaux was not subtle as he left.

Leaving presented a new problem, one that Vau refused to consider beforehand - where was he to go? He searched his memory, and remembered tales of other kobold that had followed the Order of...something? Well, it was a start. If they could accept others of the dragonsblood…

Vaux followed the stories, and came to find the Order of the Righteous Trinity. Since he proed loyal he was welcomed into the group, especially since he was very young when he arrived. Vaux’s abilities matched his ego - mostly - and after several taste with other members he rose to an impressive rank.
