Spell and spell like ability effects remain after the caster is gone, so the summoned creature would likely stay around for it's full hour duration.

Thank you. I wasn't too sure and figured they'd be someone here who'd be able to answer my question. I wish I'd prepared banishment now ;-)

The subject says it all really.

The last session ended with a demon summoning another one of its kind to fight us. My character has Dismissal prepared and will cast it on the original Demon. Assuming I bypass the Demons SR and it fails its save will the Demon it summoned be Dismissed too?
