There was so much to see and do here. Please assume appropriate documentation is done because I do not have the bandwidth to go back and itemize all the things?

"There are four to five entrances into the place, a couple from deeper underground, one somewhere in the city, and one into the caverns we approached from, it looks like. Going to require some work to secure all of those, didn't seem within the bounds of what we were asked to do, though?"

Valeros gets a mischievous look on his face. "Hit it again, I think I saw it twitch."

Yeah, I did sort of notice that Table 1's link disappeared around mid-September. ;)

But that's okay, it's sort of Creat's thing to go on long, long, LONG adventures. That night that Ray and I spent with Kalkamedes lasted like SIX MONTHES!

At this rate, Creat should reach 4th level by Trump's third term. ;)

Reminds me of the Risen from the Sands module (And then subsequent Destiny of the Sands trilogy) that Shifty ran for a bunch of us... we had more line-up changes and swap-outs than Spinal Tap had drummers.

Valeros takes another whack at the thing to get it's attention before moving to try and open things up for the rest of the party!

"You know, you're in a place you should be resting at!" Valeros seems equally frustrated at the situation as his blade swings wide.

I'm hoping to still be around for the next week or so, but make no guarantees. I would prefer to remain active rather than go on hiatus if possible (because we lose folks when we do that).

"Great! Any special ways it has to be taken down?"

The warrior is kinda pinned in place by the positioning of the rest of the party and does what he can!

The scratch elicits a bit of a laugh from the hardened fighter. I've had worse scratches from a Calistrian-

"Yes, like that, only try not to suck!" Valeros offers cheerfully as he takes another swing at the blob-dude.

"Great. Is there anything that shuts them down, because that sounds like pretty much nothing works against them."

There's a brief pause as Valeros tightens his grip on his sword and his shield.

"Y'know what, screw it. For the Drunken Hero!"

The fighter strides in, taking a swing at the thing as he gets just past the alcove it's in.

Valeros squints at the various poses of the statues in the room and then sighs.

"Well, whoever set these bodies up had some really perverse appetites, I mean, that one right there--" He'll point to one of them "That just ain't right, y'know? How did they even bend that way?

I really have no idea what else to do with this?

However, if there are things in there of importance, then *not* trying to get through them means we're putting all of our hard work to this point to waste....

I had an idea, but there's NO WAY Valeros would be able to come up with it -- he doesn't have the right skills and there's no good way to describe it without dipping DEEP into the meta-well.

"Well, let's move on, then. Maybe we'll get some sort of idea from one of the other traps?"

How many charges on the chime do we have left?

Valeros suggests clearing that last room with an arrow pointing at it so this corner is clear before poking at any more statues/traps.

Valeros watches the door and the other rooms warily, waiting for an assault from a different direction, casually chatting with Izzik as he does so.

Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

"Huh. They really did a good job preserving the bodies. I wonder how long they've been here."

Thanksgiving week will be weird here. I work late tonight, then early on Thursday, then will be running around for convention and the like between Friday and Sunday, so posting will be intermittent.

"Oh, hey, that's kind of handy. And... huh. Maybe whatever the circle was doing is responsible for some of the mess down here, then? Check the next room?"

Valeros takes a swig and offers to Izzik if he wants a drink.

Valeros will carefully take the longsword in hand, weighing it a bit, testing it out before swapping out his with the newly found one, and then picks up the metal shield, strapping it to his arm Barring any complaints

He will then neatly make a pile with the scale mail he was wearing initially, the wooden shield he entered the dungeon with, and the longsword he brought with for later retrieval, if possible.

Was starting to push out of Light encumberance...

"..."

Yeah, Valeros' got nuthin'.

He pulls out his keg and takes a mug, sharing with anyone who desires after that fight.

"Welp, check the area for things of importance, then? And let's make sure we don't miss anything in this corner of the place?"

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 19

Valeros waggles his longsword at the Champion between it and Creat to try and protect the rogue.

Longsword(Assist Creat's AC, DC10): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 2 = 13

Sorry, folks. This seems to be the way of things. Can't seem to hit worth a darn, better to try and help protect someone, I guess?

Soooo... back to Ender's Solution, then?

"Why. Won't. You. Just. Fall. DOWN!" Valeros throws all his weight behind a smashing shield rather than splitting it up as is normally his wont.

Shield Bash(Flanking): 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 2 = 20

Shield Bash Damage(Bludgeoning): 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Valeros flashes his blade back and forth in some sort of dancing move, apparently...

Shield Bash(Defensive, Flanking): 1d20 + 2 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 - 4 + 2 = 10

Longsword(Defensive, Flanking): 1d20 + 3 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 - 4 + 2 = 3

Valeros was doing Aid Another to provide +2 AC to Creat, NOT attacking directly.

Since Creat seems to be our primary damage dealer atm...

You're the only one hitting the thing, we'll have to ENDER'S solution this sucker at this rate!

"We've got this. Go Creat Go!"

Valeros throws his shield up in front of Creat to give him some much-needed assistance!

Aid Another(AC to Creat): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Irony is that Creat, for all of his grumbling about not being able to fight the thing, is the one doing the most damage to it so far...

"Got me? Okay. Be ready, last one close!"

Shield Bash(Defensive): 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 2 - 4 = 9

Longsword (Defensive): 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 3 - 2 = 16

Pretty sure that's all gonna miss.

"Screw this. I'm opening it up! Izzik, pull out a dagger or something and get ready!"

5' step because everyone 'readied/held' until they could see it and Valeros can't hit crap atm.

Valeros moves up to 'plug the gap' using the tight quarters as a bit of protection as he keeps his shield raised against the champion.

Fighting Defensively, -4 to hit, +2 to AC

Shield Bash(Defensive): 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 4 = 2

Damage: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

"Don't worry, I'll be past it in a second!"

Valeros will make sure that Izzik gets a tap of healing!

As previously discussed the CLWW...

CLWW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

"Good catch with that door! Sharp eyes!"

Valeros will look to Izzik with a bit of concern after the gas dissipates. "Do you think some ale would help you right now, or no?"

He'll look to the two 'northern' doors warily with a sense of trepidation, because that's going to be tough to fight if it's the same thing.

"Creat, when you get done down there could you take a look in here to the west?"

Valeros hauls butt in the only direction he CAN move, which is to the dead end to the north.

Withdraw

"C'mon Tyranius! We gotta get clear! If it still follows, blow it up with holy stuff!"

Valeros backs up while sheathing his longsword, then picks up the bow and readies a bow shot at the impending gut-bomb zombie.

Use roll from before or roll again?

Valeros grumbles and drops the bow he'd readied for the zombie that seemed to really be bad at opening doors, drawing longsword and shield TWF, +1 BAB, can draw as part of move action while stepping closer to the alternatively attractive and horrifically disgusting *thing*.

Longsword: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

"Hey, no attacking the bird-guy. He's not even your type! Creat is, though!"

Valeros laughs as he says that, to put the counter-point that he really doesn't mean it. Or... DOES HE?

Valeros was about to pull out a bow and shoot the thing following Tyranius' advice when Creat suddenly shuts the door.

"Izzik? Was that what your partner was upset about?"

The idea of waiting days in a barred room doesn't sit very well with him, though.

"If the door is closed, let's pull back to a safe distance and wait to see if it pounds it's way out, and then bombard it from a safe place? Just a thought?"

If folks are amenable to the idea, he'll pull back with the rest of the party and ready a bow to shoot when (or if) the door opens, but will give up his vigil if it seems like the zombie isn't coming out after about ten minutes...

Valeros will move up to be ready to handle whatever is behind the door...

"She didn't try to kill us, she's leaving without a fight, and we know where she's going to end up. We can let the folks in the temple know if it's really a big deal, if you ask me? We've done a lot of fighting the past few days, and to be honest, I'm a bit tired of it. Plus.. there's something more important!"

Valeros gives a conspiratorial grin that only a Caydenite could provide...

"More ale for the rest of us!"

Ready to go exploring 'north' into that tunnel with the side rooms and the supposedly disturbing 'skinny' woman.

"We've run into some puzzles and traps along the way, what have you taken, maybe some of the things you've taken might be helpful in figuring them out? And I'm not adverse to the idea if the rest of the team agrees."

Valeros will continue to share ale responsibly and food, and sees no reason to stop Skezza if she wants to bail out. Everybody should have the freedom to choose whenever possible, and that's her choice.

Valeros has pulled out a keg by this point and offers his tankard to Izzik. Hey, a deal's a deal, and this guy sounds like he could use a drink!

After that, though, he listens and nods while sharing a day's worth of trail rations with the two bird-folks.

"We haven't run into anything like that yet, but that's important to know! So how did you find your way into this place? The tunnel to the southwest?"

He'll give a bit of a pause and a winning grin.

"Hey, I get it at least, you got put up to a Cayden's Dare and suddenly you got in over your heads. Happens to me more times than I'd like to think. So what are your plans now, given that the church above is interested in this area again?"

Diplomacy(or Assist if someone's better at it): 1d20 ⇒ 20

"I'm Valeros, we're checking this place out on behalf of the local priests and the Pathfinder Society. Have you been barricaded in there long? Do you need food and water... or ale?"

Val shrugs and raps on the door heavily enough to be heard on the other side but not so hard as to shatter it (hopefully).

"Hello in there! We're exploring this place and getting rid of the nasty stuff. You've enough sense to keep the door barred with the nasty stuff running around, so y' wanna undo that an' chat?"

Hey, it's worth a shot!

"Ready!"

Valeros holds up his shield protectively Readied Attack, Defensive strike with longsword, Current AC 21

Valeros will move to guard Ray as he does the whole 'magic light checking out the freshly dug hole thing'.

"Not sure, but if that goes to anywhere in the city, this place has more holes in it than some parts of Riddleport..."

Valeros will shake out the banded mail vigorously and make sure all the connections are sound before donning it. Unless there are any objections.

OF COURSE he takes a drink before he does that, and is grimacing a bit at first until he realizes that it's not as bad as it looked on the outside.

"Not so bad, don't think. Anyone not have a dagger that needs one? And I think we should continue checking out this corner of the place before heading back to work on those trapped places, then?"
