About Urumea
Urumea was found by Varisian monks when he was a little baby, abandoned in a shallow river that runs near the western coast. At first, when they saw his blue skin and given the fact that he was completely submerged, they thought he had been drowned. Maybe his parents, unprepared to be blessed by the elemental forces of water and shocked by their child's appearance, had actually tried to drown him.
Soon after the monks lifted the child from the water, they realized he was still breathing, so they brought him to Windsong Abbey and raised him. They named him Urumea, the Varisian word for "child from the water".
When a wanderer visiting the monastery told about his travels, Urumea wanted to travel and see the world himself. He began his journey by walking along the coast until he reached a large city, Magnimar. From there, he took the first ship that was leaving for destinations unknown to Urumea.
The end of the journey happened to be Absalom, so Urumea started to explore this new world. Being used to the solitude of the monastery, and because he always felt a bit out of place, he's still a little shy.
