About Urtar Vasaam

Background:

Since his birth, about twenty years ago, Urtar has lived among cultists of Asmodeus, in small villages far from the inquiring eyes of the church of Mitra. Those he took as family were nice people but to be the student of various conjured devils was a rather curious (some would say traumatic) experience. Some would have try to fight against this education but he chose another path and committed himself, body and soul, to the cause of Asmodeus.
He was nearly twenty when he decided it was time to fight against the crown but he was prudent and took his time. For several years, he worked to be accepted as a pious traveller, taking any opportunities to show the corruption of the local nobility and to try to convince the villagers they had to take arms.
It was a perfect plan. Or at least, that's what he thought.
One day he made a mistake. A small mistake but a mistake he couldn't afford. Someone talked. Someone always talk. Before he could flee, witch hunters and royal troops were crawling everywhere.
He used all his cunning to try to escape but in the end he found himself cornered in an alley, facing the thrice cursed Sir Balin of Karfeld. Urtar still thinks he has been lucky that day : he was convicted for sedition and managed to hide his true faith.
Now he is in jail. With only one idea in his mind : to escape. To escape and to take his revenge. Revenge for what happened to him. Revenge for what happened to his family. Revenge for what happened to his friends. Often he dreams of legions of erinyes under his command.
One day, he will make this dream come true and Sir Balin will pay.

Urtar has black eyes and chestnut hair. He's always carefully shaved, even now. Since his capture his traits are often scornful and furious, but sometimes he falls into a deep melancholy when he remembers the friends he lost. Lately he has begun to think that if he manages to escape, he will need more time than what his human life can give him. He doesn't like the idea of submitting to a vampire's bite and finds himself thinking of lichdom as a way to achieve his goal.

His exotic education taught him to be absolutely ruthless but he adds a touch of subtlety the devils usually lack. He usually prefers to fight at long range, using his martial prowess and his infiltration skills to play a deadly game of cat and mouse with his preys. Since his condemnation, he had enough time to think about the perfect revenge against his jailers : his target is now the monarchy of Talingarde and what better way to punish Darius than to attack his only offspring ?
