I am the son of a Human mother and Orc father. My mother serves in the Church of Pharasma, helping those that are close to death find comfort in the end. My father is a gravedigger in Kaer Maga, who was introduced to Pharasma from his constant dealings with the dead. I hated being an abomination and left to join a band of orc slaves that found particular interest in raiding halfling villages. One day, a rival orc clan caught us offguard and attacked our settlement. They captured the few that survived, and I was one of them. They tortured me and abused me. Finally, I found a chance to escape thanks to their lack of a working brain and returned to Kaer Maga. The constant nightmares of what I had done and what was done to me led me to swear off slavery of any kind, and put an end to it where I can. I sought forgiveness by offering my strength as protection for the halfling refugees in Kaer Maga. When the Church of Pharasma sent out a call for adventurers to clear out the evils beneath them, it seemed like a chance for me to repay my mother and father for how I treated them and disgraced them. Perhaps I should considered finding out more about Pharasma...
