DM Post Ghost: Ulkrith takes note of the orcs' number, follows them for a mile to ensure they don't change their direction, then returns to his scouting position to await the others' return.
As a quick aside, while I wait for the others to catch up, would there be any objection to possibly modifying the character with the new class options recently uploaded to the PRD? Some of the summoner progressions are extremely intriguing, but I'm not sure if broadening allowed content with new PRD additions was considered while I was away.
After the fight at the rope bridge, Ulkrith made a point to dismiss Asins before stepping forward and introducing himself to the group. The half-orc accompanied the party half way to Camlin, before deciding to head back to the cave and keep watch while waiting for everyone's return; having been a wanderer for so long, Ulkrith is hesitant to return to any traditional settlement. Ulkrith remained somewhat withdrawn during his initial time with the group, not sharing much of his background nor his abilities. The half-orc did make a point to listen intently to Karrg, and the little yeti chattered away happily as they walked. I hope that will suffice to cover my absence; my character's not currently one for cities anyway.
Ulkrith remains in the shadows, his muscles tense should he need to continue fighting. A friend, I hope. What do you know of yeti? I need to apologize, folks. My summer plans have encountered a bit of an unforeseen bump; as of tomorrow afternoon, I'll be without a place to stay. I hope to have an alternative lined up some time next week, but until then I'll be without reliable internet. I wish the timing were better; I'll try to touch base every so often, and keep you in the loop.
I hope I'm not making a mistake. Ulkrith levels his crossbow at the archer across the chasm, speaking in a harsh, guttural tongue as he pulls the trigger. Spoken in Aklo: I'm going to take my delayed action now. I'll attempt to obtain a clear line of fire on the active archer, crawling 5 feet to do so if I must. Should I already have line of fire, I'll stand up from prone instead.
I am not a Karrg, whatever that is. Move Action Crawl 5 feet OR stand up from prone
Ulkrith holds out a hand, indicating to Asins to keep its position as he peeks around the corner of the passageway. The half-orc double checks the readiness of his crossbow, then turns his attention to the fight unfolding through the doorway, unsure of what to do next. He hadn't expected to encounter a yeti, especially not one as young as that he encountered alone and worried on the mountainside. In his experience, the creatures rarely ventured far from the glacial flows of the Frostlands. After it had realized Ulkrith could understand its language, it started babbling about its pack mate being swallowed up by the ground. The distraught creature had led Ulkrith to the old Tengu caverns, begging the half-orc to search for its lost friend. The summoner had expected to find a lost yeti, not the fight before him now. I'll Delay, and observe the fight before jumping in. I'll attempt to remain hidden, using the darkness of the tunnels to hide my presence. Stealth 1d20 ⇒ 1 EDIT And it would seem that I slip on an icy patch of floor, ending up prone in the passage. I guess anyone with darkvision can see me without difficulty, and everyone likely heard me.
This is Heaven's Agent, just letting everyone know my character is ready to go. I'll keep an eye on the thread; this character isn't likely to have visited Camlin, instead being a wanderer in the mountains. I gave him some ranks in linguistics and several knowledge skills, though. He can speak tengu, and would be interested in exploring the current site. Be it on his own, or at the ... request ... of others. Let me know when/how I should arrive.
Sorry for my absence; my holidays continued through yesterday, and I was without a computer over the entirety of the weekend. I'm very interested in getting things moving once more. For the moment Sunday is good for me, but the drywall should be finished at my house by then; I may have to spend my weekend painting. I'll let you know as soon as I am aware should I be unable to join the group. As an aside, what is the time frame we're looking at for the game? Has it changed from our original plans? |
