Born of an elven slave and left to the streets at a young age Ukhozi grew up with the street rats. While he became skilled at the arts of the street he was never comfortable participating in them. This at times led to a beating from the street gang he was a part of. One particularly severe beating unlocked his sorcerous powers, without discovering those latent abilities he certainly would have been left crippled or worse. With these new found abilities though came greater pressure from the group to assist them in their petty thefts and crimes.
A few days later Ukhozi watched in awe as the Paladin of Ansa single handedly bested six thugs and cutthroats and hauled them before the judges. In awe at his prowess and unwavering fearlessness Ukhozi sought to mimic the paladin, and often trailed him from a distance when he was in Ansa to learn more about him. From this point on Ukhozi was not only ostracized from society in general for his half-elven heritage, but from the street rats he grew up with as well.
He now seeks to prove himself to the world so that he can one day feel worthy to stand alongside the Paladin of Ansa. He tries to live up to the ideals of the paladin code (as best he understands them anyway) though he isn't always successful in this task. Part of this includes redeeming himself from the wrongful acts he committed with the street rats.
Ukhozi has no last name, only vaguely remembering his mother, and not knowing his father, his does not associate himself with either of them.
