Right now I'm up to 4 DM's for this.

Are you the organizer? Or just someone volunteering?

Already have the 6 parts of Rise of the Runelords and the Seven Swords of Sin? Anything else on the empire? Ruins of the empire? maybe a modern day map with outlines of the old empire and the old centers of power.

Hi I'm Donny Rhye of the Book & Music Exchange 5400C Preston Hwy Louisville KY.

Currently looking for DM's who would like to run D&D 4E Demos. Now why on earth would someone want to do this. First you get to keep the module you demo. 2nd I'll buy your drinks and snacks.

I'll be running demos from 10 am to 9pm all day saturday. If you want to emailD.Rhye@insightbb.com me thats cool. And Hey if you want to run any other game demo thats cool with me. Pathfinder, Shadowrun, World of Darkness, GURPS, Star Wars, or any other PG13 game. If you want to run a demo I'll give ya space. Or if you don't feel like emailing post here. Or call me at 1-502-969-4403 and ask for donny.

I have already ran 2 4E demos and willing to run a few more. Just get ahold of me and we can work out a time. Now the place will be BME becuase i don't travel. Unless you want to work out transportation. I'd prefer 4 to 5 people but last nights demo was 7 people so I can manage if there are more or less.

Thanks for your time
Donny

For how many years the event exists?

2008 is it's 2nd year.

I work at a game store. Some books I buy from work. Others come from online places like amazon, lulu, and paizo. You should never feel bad about getting a deal online. If you have some extra money and you throw it toward your local shop good for them. But any good business owner will adapt and survive. Those owners without people skills will crash and burn. Or the IRS will come in and take everything because of tax evasion.

Brick and mortar stores will never go away. There will always be some gamer that will run a gaming store. A 1000 years ago there were gamers and 1000 years from now there will still be gamers.

They should just let Bruce Cordell design anything he wants.

Christopher_Perkins is Design Manager, RPGs and Miniatures at
Wizards of the Coast, Inc.. and here is what he said

We have a cap on the number of R&D people we can send, and I *did* attend last year, so I'm not sure whether I'll be attending this year. I should know in the next few days, one way or the other.

So stop freaking out. They are not out to destroy the world or Gen Con.

I'd say if you plan to run.
Player's Handbook
Dungeon Masters's Guide
Monster Manual
Spell Compendium
Rules Compendium
Magic Item Compendium
Tome of Battle:Book of nine swords

as a player cut it down to
Player's Handbook
Spell Compendium
Rules Compendium
Tome of Battle:Book of nine swords

As a retailer I just tried to place orders for
Player's Handbook
Dungeon Masters's Guide
Monster Manual
Spell Compendium
Rules Compendium
Magic Item Compendium
Tome of Battle:Book of nine swords

Most were out of stock and no one is planning to restock these.
So if you are gonna buy these or stock your store with them now is really to late to get em. But good luck.

Ok I don't know how you can say WotC doesn't support retailers. I'm a retailer they send me promo product all the time to demo their games. They have in store gaming tourneys. As a retail I just emailed a guy about some promo stuff last week and got a reply in less than 20 minutes. Heck just look at D&D gameday vs Free RPG day. As a retailer Free Rpg Day costs a minumum of $90. D&D Gameday is free. Enuff said.

And on the matter of GenCon the only reason they filed chapter 11 is because they spread themselves too thin too fast.

We are putting the final touches on a reprint of #2, and once we give the go ahead to the printer, it will take about 6 weeks to get here. I expect that we will give that go ahead this coming week.

I can't believe this book is $50.00 on the secondary market.

Since your company is supporting 3.5. I'm also gonna carry some 3.5 material in my retail store. So I went to restock on all the Pathfinder Runelord series. Only to discover #2 is out of print.
Makes it hard to carry the whole line when one issue is out of print.

Plz give the go ahead at the printer. Summer is coming and retailers need this on our shelves.
