About Turok
Turok is quite striking to behold – he is very heavily tattooed from head-to-toe in Orcish religious and tribal iconography, body art which he proudly displays, even having shaved his head (his only hair there being a longish fu-manchu mustache and beard) so as to expand his canvas. He wears black leather armor over bare skin, and is never found without his brace of daggers (4 visible) and light crossbow. Turok is lean and athletically built and carries himself not so much with “grace” as with an easy confidence evocative of a great cat, and has the unsettling habit of “suddenly being there.”
Turok’s first love is interesting puzzles or challenges, both mental and physical (and ideally, both at once). He’s constantly challenging his capabilities, and between “jobs” works as a street magician to refine his craft (also an excellent way to learn the ins and outs of Absalom); he is known to certain parties as a particular expert on getting into hard-to-access places. This interest in particular has brought Turok to the attention of the Pathfinder Society, an affiliation he has embraced with anticipation and gusto.
Turok lives simply – he has no special need for luxuries – but he does like collecting books, not so much for their content (he would rather learn by experience) as for their craftsmanship and beauty, exotic illustrations and lettering inspiring wonder (and perhaps the next tattoo.)
