Appearance:

Standing at 6'3 and weighing in at 193 lbs (approximately), Tunar is a larger man with a well built, but lean, muscular figure.

It is obvious that his heritage is not of the region. While his skin is dark from sun exposure he lacks the more traditional ethnic look of the local human populace.

His face gives hints at his younger age with brown eyes and brown hair, that is kept short due to the heat in the region. His skin has a leathery appearance to it from countless hours of sun exposure and is suggestive of the inlaying durability of the man.

Wears a light brown hot weather outfit to stay cool with a light colored breastplate on top for protection. Brown boots laced tightly to keep as much sand out as possible.

His face has all the angularity of a brick, which gives him a (somewhat) dopey appearance.

His body is covered in scars from the years of fighting that he has endured. His face has a curved scar that runs from the bottom left portion of his chin, up along the side of his nose, and (luckily for him) between his eyes where it fades off. His chest and back both carry many reminders of the injuries he has suffered over the years.

Background and Personality:

Background
Born and raised in Wati, Tunar has spent most of his life in the Outerfarms where his parents live. His parents were not from the area, instead they had moved to the city before Tunar was born. The reason, as his father told him, was that Tunar's great grandfather had been an explorer and had supposedly left behind a great fortune to be found here. Unfortunately, whatever inheritance might have been left was long gone when they arrived. With little choice but to either make due or try and return, they became farmers.

Tunar himself had never had much of an interest in farming and much preferred a good fight or a drink. As soon as he was old enough he left and eventually ended up serving with a small band of mercenaries who would escort travelers to and from the city.

He did this for a few years, learned the lay of the land around the city, met many wealthy merchants and a few less wealthy that were able to procure the amount needed for safe passage. The travel could be dangerous, if the weather didn't kill you then any sort of wild beast might. Tunar learned a great deal about fighting during this time, many of the Mercenaries came from disciplined backgrounds where they had acquired formal training. Tunar picked up things as he went, eschewing the more common weapons of the region in favor of heavy blades. He liked it that way anyways, he already stood out do to his non-ethnic heritage, being the fella with the unusual weapon was fitting as well.

Eventually a difference in opinion in the sort of company the mercenaries were willing to accept cropped up and Tunar left the band, setting out on his own as a low cost mercenary for hire. That is if you met up to his standards. Those who dealt in certain shady businesses such as smuggling were fine, but he refused be hired by those who have a reputation for abuse, or who treat their servants poorly. Over time he managed to get a little recognition for himself. Both good and ill. A number of merchants had come to dislike him for his selective handling of clients, while others appreciated him for his reliability and his more honest methods. Others appreciated him for his willingness to negotiate prices or accept drink instead of silver or gold, as not everyone could afford other bands.

During the years in Wati, Tunar has spent some time skimming the outskirts of the Necropolis, though the place always made him a little uneasy, fearing that disturbing the dead might bring him bad luck. Thus he has never done much more than walk the streets and observe.

He's always had sense of curiosity about the place. While he was unable to band up with any group of adventures during the initial lottery, he's hoping that some who have spent some time in the place might be looking to take on a new hire for protection. The gold would be good, if not the gold then the loot from within would likely be worthwhile. Plus it would give him a chance at seeing some of the more interesting facets of the Necropolis.

Tunar is very familiar with both the Tooth & Hookah and the Whispering Stone drinking establishments. Having spent countless hours in the establishments, has been kicked out a few times too. Though his gold is good and he isn't the sort to go out of his way to get into a fight, so the Barkeep usually put up with him. Lately he has spending a lot of time around there, though more for keeping an eye on the rumors and the various groups who are exploring, then for pure drink as per usual.

Personality
Generally speaking he usually acts somewhat boisterous, unafraid to tell others what he is thinking. He's not rude per say, but while some might deem a conversation to be carried out in a lowered voice he is just as likely to carry on at a normal voice (which means loud).

Having been picked on as a kid for his looks, he tends to dislike bullies. He appreciates those who acquire their business in honest means, though what Tunar defines as honest may not always be what the local court see's as so. And he has a particularly strong dislike of those who enslave others or take advantage of the less fortunate.

Tunar is for the most part a good and loyal friend, he believes in being honest to his word for the most part. This practice extends to his business as a mercenary. He won't rob someone blind and he won't mislead them about the sort of dangers or costs associated with a particular trip or service.

While not outright opposed to the use of magic, Tunar has never been fully comfortable around it's use, believing that something has powerful as that must have some sort of associated cost with it. Though he will let others use magic around him (though he keeps his distance) and can usually be reasoned with to allow it's casting upon him when necessary. Though the exception of course is when he allows the rage of battle to overtake him, during this time his basic reasoning facilities are not up to par and so his natural instincts towards avoiding magic kick in.

Tunar has a reckless fighting style, favoring aggressive tactics over more sound strategy, he tends to rush his opponents and try to overwhelm them in his assault. Years of fighting haven't changed this. If anything, they have pushed him to be more aggressive, building his natural resilience to an extraordinary level, and teaching him to channel his inborn rage into a lethal weapon.

Last but hardly the least, Tunar loves a good drink. If there's one thing he values more than a good fight, or being payed from a job well done, it's getting a cold drink.

Religion
While not particularly devout, Tunar does appreciate Cayden Cailean's teaching concerning freedom and in particular has a fondness of the god's appreciation for the drink.
