APPEARANCE
Trebek Siro
Golden brown hair, heavy eyebrows and ample facial hair frame Trebek’s face. His bestial nature may not be readily apparent under the heavy winter clothing but one look at his eyes dispels the notion that you are dealing with a human. His wolf ancestry shows in his yellowish eyes, pointed ears, and protruding canines. The ferran is clothed for the cold with a heavy, fur-lined, leather coat, which overlays his well-oiled chainshirt; heavy outdoor, leather boots complement his simple attire. A short bow and quiver on his back keeps his hands free, one which is always grasping a large axe.
BACKGROUND
Trebek had been living in the cold wastes for as long as he could remember. His past saw him running together with a group of ferrans out to eke out a living as hunters and trappers in the tundra. When the Darkfall occurred, the ferran found himself alone, the only survivor of a monster straight from his nightmares. Something snapped on the young ferran and he became concerned only with survival. His basic instincts took over and he left the company of humanoids and found himself more at home with a pack of wolves. Always on the hunt, he spent years surviving and running.
After years of living in the wild, the ferran’s humanoid side took over once more and he sought the company of men. He made himself a reputation as a local trapper and hunter and provided furs for export from the port of Floe.
After a couple of months, he returned to the wild only to find the pack almost exterminated; they were all burned to a crisp Only a young wolf pup had survived. Trebek tracked down the men responsible for the slaughter and knowing that he could not defeat them, decided to make their lives in the wild a living hell. He stole their food and poisoned their water; he ruined their supplies and took out the stray human that wandered too far from the mining camp. As the miners became increasingly desperate, they roamed further and further from their safe location for supplies. Trebek completed his vengeance by setting a nocturnal on their trail and watched as the monster finished what he could not do himself.
After that event, the hardened ranger spent a few more months in the wild where he realized that miners were not the real enemy. It was the nocturnals that needed exterminating. Aware of his limited impact, he set out for Floe once more to find like-minded men and women and form his own hunting pack
PERSONALITY
Trebek is an easy-going fellow except when he’s on the hunt when he turns into a no-nonsense type of person. He is very organized and meticulous as he believes that the wild tundra will swallow those who are not prepared.
He is overly protective of the wolf pup he rescued and is loath to expose it to danger. Nights of praying and caring for the injured pup somehow awoke in the man the ability to heal, a skill that he has so far kept secret.
The ferran is instinctively afraid of fire, something he also does his best to hide.
