Appearance
Traveriel has the light skin and black hair of his Chelaxian father, and the bright blue eyes of his Elven mother. He keeps his hair short and stays well groomed.

Personality
Traveriel can be brash. He abhors slavery since he spent time as a slave, and will go out of his way to liberate any slaves he finds.

Background
Traveriel was born to elven merchant. While visiting Absalom, she had an affair with a Chelaxian nobleman who was also in Absalom on business. Shortly after she returned to Kyonin, she discovered she was pregnant.

Traveriel was raised among the elves of Kyonin for the first 18 years of his life. He was schooled in the ways of the bow, but did not take to the blade nearly as well. He had a difficult childhood being a halfblood, and left to find his father when he was determined to be of age. His mother warned him that his father would no likely acknowledge him, but he felt sure he would find a better life among humans.

His mother paid for passage on a ship bound for Westcrown. Upon reaching the city, he quickly discovered the residence of his father, a minor noble. He obtained a room at an inn, and cleaned himself up. The next day he went to his father's manor and asked for an audience. He was greeted with scorn, and about to leave, but instead took a knock to the skull by one of the house guards. He awoke hours later bound hand and foot in the bottom of a slave galley bound for Katapesh.

He spent the next five years as slave for a Katapeshi land-owner. He mainly working the fields of citrus trees. His master was a well-known gambler, and ran into a string of bad luck. He had to sell off much of his property including his slaves. Traveriel was purchased along with about ten others by an old kindly man.

As it turns out, the old man, Skender, a cleric of Desna, regularly made trips to Katapesh to purchase slaves, to free them. His return trip made stops in Absalom and Almas. All of the other slaves got off at one of the two stops. Traveriel decided to accompany Skender back to Magnimar.

Skender took Traveriel in and taught him the ways of Desna. After two years with Skender including several trips back to Katapesh to liberate more slaves, Traveriel has decided to set out on his own and do some exploring. He recently arrived in Sandpoint and is anxious to begin a life of exploring.
