@Rufus - I believe that is correct, though often it is wise to have the GM sign off on changes you are making.
@Yugatta - A day job is represented by your ranks in any of a few different skills, including Craft, Profession, or even Perform. Under some circumstances other skills can be used for day jobs, but don't worry about those for now.
It looks like you have Craft(rope) and Profession(sailor). Since your Profession bonus is higher, I'd suggest rolling that one.
There's a table to determine how much you make with a day job based on the results of your roll, but I'm sure Krash can handle that part on your chronicle.

This is one of the slowest games I've been in. If you spend much time on the boards you'll start to see which games are likely to be fast, and which are likely to be slow. Many, if not most, never finish.
But that said, I have faith that we'll make it through if we all stick it out, even if it takes a while longer.

A large lump of a figure hunched over beneath dark, heavy robes, only a beast-like maw visible beneath a low-hanging hood, Tortella shies away from attention. He grips his longspear, a knotted pole adorned with tribal fetishes, and forces out commonspeak words. "Tortella. Sor-cerer. Warr...Ior." the words spill out amongst sounds akin to coughing and gagging as the half-orc struggles to overcome his dominant orcish background and accent.
I'll hop on this train if I can. I've done First Steps before, but it was a while back so I don't remember much. I have a half-orc sorcerer with First Steps parts 2 & 3 under his belt, and I've been waiting to finish out with part 1 (which sounds odd, I know).
