And I think you've touched upon the key to why there are so few Samurai/Cavs in PFS. SO much of those classes are mount dependent and most PFS battles are not mount friendly. Using an option like Sword Saint is a good remedy, but even that seems WOEFULLY underpowered compared to sneak attack. That being said, my Lantern Lodge (soon to be Silver Crusade) Aasimar Cleric of Shizuru took his first level of Sword Saint at 4th and is going to take nothing but Samurai levels from here on out. Just to make him EXTRA Samurai-ey I've got the feat Antagonize and my Diplomacy is off the charts.

Ahhh... but you forget our mom, Okasan Wu, is a time traveller. There is very little that can't be answered with a healthy dollop of Bill and Ted.

I woke up in a Korvosa doorway, the Grey Maiden knew my name. /She said, "you could get back to the Shingles, if you can get up and walk away."/ I stretched back and I hiccuped and checked to see if I had the plague./ Ended up fighting Rakshashas before the end of that bloody day... WELL WHO ARE WU?

Tricky question... Turns out mom was granted a boon by Shelyn for services rendered, and every time she gives birth she is projected back in time a year and a half. For those of you concerned about paradox and/or child neglect, rest assured there is a temple on a remote mountainside in Tien where a myriad of Okasan Wu-s take turns tending to their prolific offspring.
So Little Man and I just genned new alts: Tonealial (“my friends call me Tone”) Wu, a Sczarni Aasimar Bard for me and Onisan Wu, a Lantern Lodge Tiefling Ninja for him. They are going to be half brothers; turns out our mom, a retired adventurer, made some... interesting... life choices along the way. A friend expressed interest in joining “the brotherhood” and thus was born Brother Ji Kwan Wu, Nagaji Monk. I thought it would be fun to offer it up to the Society as a whole. The requirements to join the Brothers Wu (yes, you can be a Sister Wu too) are simple and twofold: 1) Have the last name Wu. 2) You must be at least half Human (Tien) on your mom’s side. Please post on this thread if you create a PFS Brothers Wu character so we can keep a geneaology. |
