In PF2R, the Verbal component is changed into the Concentrate trait while the Somatic component, the Material component and the Focus component are changed into the Manipulate trait. The changes bring several problems. 1) There're rules that can be related to the Verbal component. For example, it is said that "If you speak (including casting spells with verbal components or activating items with command components) you lose all remaining air." Does using a Concentrate spell in PF2R mean losing all remaining air? It's so weird for roleplaying. 2) There're abilities that can be related to the Verbal component. For example, the Grip Throat ability of Crawling Hands make all Verbal spells cost an additional action. Do all Concentrate spells in PF2R cost more when grabbed by a Crawling Hand? 3) There're some difference between the spell with Somatic components and that with Material components. The former doesn't require a free hand while the latter does require. How should I tell whether spells with the Manipulate trait in PF2R require a free hand or not?
Kineticist can get the fire aura junction at lv.5, which gives the enemies in the kinetic aura weakness to fire. It is written that "When you use an impulse that has the overflow trait, your kinetic aura deactivates until you revitalize it." What's the meaning of "when"? Does the aura deactivate before the impulse deals damage so the target has no weakness, or after that so the target takes more damage?
As is written in the action, "You Cast a Spell that takes 1 or 2 actions to cast and requires a spell attack roll." doesn't restrict the tradition of the spell to being arcane. However, arcane is mentioned later in the sentence, "The infusion of spell energy grants your Strike the arcane trait, making it magical." So, can I use spellstrike with non-arcane spells? For example, to dedicate myself into a Cleric and use spellstrike with the powerful focus spell Fire Ray, or into a Psychic and do that with the powerful amp cantrip Imaginary Weapon? I know it's a little strange in RP, but a free and poweful spell per encounter is very useful.

It's written in Core Rulebook that magic ammunition having an Activate entry must be activated with additional actions before being used. So what is the magic ammunition?
If the latter, Black Powder (Dose or Round) is a type of ammunition with Alchemical and Consumable traits and has an Activate entry. Then what ridiculous is that with certain firearms, we need to use 3 Actions to fire. If the former, how it work with the ammunition with Alchemical trait? Besides, the gunslinger's feat 'ALCHEMICAL SHOT' has the Requirements as 'You have an alchemical bomb worn or in one hand, and are wielding a firearm or crossbow in the other'. Should I reload my firearm before using this? |
